Yeah - even in benchtests, there's little to distinguish PCI 2.0 x16 and 3.0 x16.
It's actually one of the few areas of PC architecture that rarely gets saturated to a point that negative performance on-screen is visible.
Sounds like you've done a great job trying to rectify the problem already.
Probably worth a new fuel pump as per @Yorkshire Pudding above - at least it would negate it being an issue should the car still run poorly for a while afterwards?
I'd assume that once you've got the car fired up...
Welcome aboard @Mark68! Nice to see that despite the age of these cars, they still hold people's attention. :)
I'm think I'm in that select group on here that have had a 1*2 for a long time. Mine started to feel tired towards the end of last year and needed work doing to it. I pulled the...
Good pics! Nice to see that it’s working out well for you!
I bought the user guide that goes with it too - very well put together as it has chapters written by different photographers and graphical artists.
I've got the Titan and it's been an absolute god-send during lockdown - having had to work from home and sat at the PC for most of the day.
For the record, I'm 6'1" and the seat base is a lot flatter than on the Omega, which has higher bolsters. Apparently the Titan seat base is for gamers who...
Getting your dream is always worth it and I love Porsches.
That said - 996 headlights are like casting a vision over a lingerie-clad supermodel - only to then notice she's finished the look with a pair of Crocs. They literally make the front end the part that you don't want to look at...
Anyone use gameboards at all?
I've used a Logitech G13 for years in conjunction with a variety of mice. Not used the WASD layout on a standard keyboard for probably near a decade now and have wondered if the Razer alternatives are any good?
They are definitely niche peripherals - but once you...
Must admit, when I bought the set of official Ralliart flaps for the VI, I was far too giddy for just four slabs of plastic.
When fitted and I looked at the rear, it just looked right. ☺
Is that definitely your gearbox? The sharp clunk and loss of all drive is exactly what happened when my driveshaft let go. Plus the crunchy grind when trying to engage any gear.
Granted, it did damage part of the gearbox in the same process, but you might have been lucky?
Yes @andy_con - I've only ever paid for it once. About two years ago I think now?
No doubt they might do a total, full-blown revamp - but I've had plenty of updated versions where the update has been 'free' - without having to pay any more.
They do a free trial anyway before you buy, so that...
Affinity Photo is worth a look. Regularly has a sale price offer too - pretty sure I only paid about £39 for my licence?

Probably doing little else other than scaremongering.
Hoping that vast swathes of parents out there are switching to the Sony camp for Christmas because they are worried that their brood will be playing with something that could scald them. Or worse, EXPLODE due to the heat.... 🤣
You'll probably be one of the first people I know to actually utilise the size of the memory that comes on the 3090.
I can't see many games stretching its legs for a long time yet. From my own findings, even triple-A games are only around 6GB utilisation, currently.
It's almost a unique genre in game development itself. The level of checking, rechecking, testing and above all else - not to have broken plot lines amongst the story - must be a monumental task. More so that with any good RPG, you can approach the main story from a multitude of angles and with...
You weren't too far off your prediction, matey! :P
I'll get this - but no way on release day. I'll give it a few months at the very least - iron out the obvious patches, get the graphics profiles sorted, etc. With a game such as this and especially due to its complexity, there will be many...
Can't actually recall those? Though yep - you must be near the end - lol.
I've just taken a quick break and thought of a quick dabble at Doom Eternal. Loaded my saved game up and retried the same point five times before quitting.
The irritations of your crap kit (which about 90% of your...
Does make you wonder how far they can go? What other features can they chuck in?
The camera can always be improved. The battery life and the screen resolution improved upon. But you are still limited to a thin oblong device that has become the tool of choice for modern society. I guess there's...
This is the second iPhone I've had through finance with Apple who use Barclays. Zero interest and zero issues, though I admit it would be nice to buy outright.
No doubt I will. I think it was just all the previous years of having one on various iPhones and it making 'sense'.
I still think closing apps or switching to ones that are already open, was an easier process with a button. As @jenic says as well, FaceID does get caught out when wearing a face...
Won't be for a while yet for me! Went from an iPhone 7 to an 11 a few months back. Still missing the Home button - it simply doesn't work as well as previous, though I get that production is easier and they have more screen real estate without it.
If I had the choice of an 11 with a Home button...
Such a shame though that PC2 was a big improvement over PC1 and then it literally drives itself off a cliff with PC3.
I'm not sure I'd even buy this in a sale for £9.99.
