The only thing that puts me off with Fanatec is that the customer service is absolute toilet - which is more surprising given that they are a German firm.
Hopefully the build quality will see you through and that you never have to speak to them directly!
I'd be a little concerned at the cooling efficiency of an i7 in there. I know they aren't exempt from laptops, but for a system designed to cool a little dual-core i3 - it's a big step up.
He'd probably have a laptop sounding like Concorde the instant he opened Google up.
The sense of ownership of most things has just gone out the window in recent years. It wasn't long back where the only items you realistically had on 'pay monthly/from now to the foreseeable' were your mortgage and perhaps the car. Now everything is heading this way and I bet when more than a...
Oh yeah - I get that - it just doesn't make common sense in my head!
Thankfully my GPU with it's AIO cooler is only mid-50sC when running, so I tend not to worry about heat much.
Do you place your mobile on the monitor stand beneath it? They can interfere with the display signal - it does it on mine - more so via my crappy work's Samsung than by my own iPhone.
Tried allsorts in the past - new settings, replacement cables, updating the firmware on the graphics card -...
It always looks nonsensical to me with loops - where you have the biggest heat generator directly connected to the second biggest heat generator and sharing the water flow?
Although it's the accepted method above - my brain would be thinking about a seperate GPU and CPU loop and having an...
Went for the Corsair K63 a while back and it's been great. I didn't need the extra space taken up by a numeric keypad (never use it outside of work) and this was a decent price point - around £60 when I bought it...
Must be a fairly common issue that. The ex-wife's 182 did the same - pretty much guaranteed between 2 and 3am most mornings.
It wasn't an old car back then either - maybe two years or so. Renault didn't actually fix the issue and car was sold old on not long after.
Welcome!
A Campus Sport will indeed be a Mk2 Clio - even though the mainstream Mk2 family finished production in 2005.
I could be wrong, but apart from a different rear end and some changes to the front - all the Mk2 Clios are the same.
You might just want to ask a mod to change 'brought' to...
I really hope that the triple fan setup is a better option on the 1080Ti than the dual fan on the EVGA 1080 FTW that I have.
When new, it came with the previous Doom game free and within a couple of minutes, ramped up the fans to make my PC sound like an attack helicopter. They were woefully...
I hit a wall of zero enthusiasm with the previous game about two-thirds the way though, but stuck with it until the end.
I don't know what they've done with the later Doom games - but caution and patience now seem to be the preferred ways of progression. Even with the Doom64 game on Steam, it's...
Cannot get on with the front end of the new Minis at all.
The V6 looks svelte, curved and purposeful. The Mini has a startled front end of Shrek with bad dental work.
I do however, love that GP boot spoiler.
Welcome!
From your post, you sound handy with a toolkit and spanners - but the timing on 1*2s is an art form. You definitely need the required locking tools to begin and even then, the engine can run very poorly if just slightly out.
Personally, unless you're very confident in tackling it, I'd...
Went for this via cdkeys on Friday.
Happy to say that it's an improvement on the other recent reboot, but it's still frustrating in the fact that the ammo is massively restricted to the fancy takedowns of the enemy. That should be an alternative method of obtaining ammo - not the primary method...
A 3080 is looking like the next card for me. Unfortunately to do it justice, the i7 6700k I’ve got simply won’t cut it.
New mobo, CPU and memory it is, then!
Which is always a good thing.
That's always a good thing, imo. Lose your key and you've immediately helped scroats to head towards potential cars that your keys could work with.
Which one did you get? Mine's pretty tired after nearly 16 years!
That was the point that I'd got to. I even purchased new bulbs to go behind the the dash, but seeing just how much of a task it was to remove the dash in the first place - I just put up with it.
Several months later, the battery died. Put a new one in and ta-da! Fully working centre console...
I get the practical side of it - but it still bugs me! Obviously yours is different if it was originally silver anyway.
I remember seeing some supercar production documentary where they did similar and the robots completely skipped the inner sections of the chassis. Made worse by the fact that...
A silly annoyance of mine.... I hate it when chassis sections are left unpainted.
When I first took my front bumper off and the cross-member was all untidy. No one ever sees it, but you know it's there, lol....
Welcome aboard!
Have you any history of when the battery might have been replaced? On my 182, the main display was fine, but I lost half of the centre console lettering through a tired battery.
Got a new one, swapped it over and all was good and bright again.
For the price that they are and...
This is the thing that a fair few people forget about.
When running ACC at my 1440 resolution, it's using 5.7GB VRAM just sat in the pits. That's comfortably under the 8GB that my GTX1080 comes with - but it's clearly a sign of the demand that's there (and increasingly so) within gaming.
I...
