A lot of our postcode restrictions and exclusions have been lifted or have changed so (up to you of course) you are very welcome to get in touch when you are shopping around for insurance again. We can insure cars over £20k with no issues, anything over £50K/£60k we have to refer directly but...

NCB will be stepped back, not lost. This is standard industry practice..

A claim isn't the end of the world, even if you do not have protected NCB at 9 years (maximum) you'll be put back to 3 years. I cannot see it as being cost effective buying the £1500 car you have just crashed into.
