I was going to post similar to Revels, we sell this product, it's a guaranteed courtesy car for 14 days if you car is written off or stolen, in these circumstances you would not usually get a courtesy car. Some people find it incredibly useful in the event of a claim.
Ollie...
Historically it is an area we have struggled with but we've relaxed some of the criteria recently.

hi,
it would be best to wait until nearer the time and then request a call back via the link below:

We can quote now but we cannot guarantee the rate until May.
Thanks
The only way you'll know if that is competitive is if you compare it to some other insurers, not other people.

It needs to be insured as the 1.4 16v with a disclosed modification of the engine conversion (and supporting work) disclosed.
We cover many engine swapped cars, link below:

As has been suggested though, just buy a real sport.

I do not know their schemes very well but it really is a case of moving on and trying other insurers.
Cliosport.net have two affiliated insurers, see the traders section.
We may be able to help but we do have some extra criteria to be met for the WA postcodes, 25 or over, 3 years NCB, free...
Looking great, really smart. How much did you pick it up for if you dont mind me asking? I'm in the market for one of these myself very soon, probably the 130 or 115 though.
Ollie
Or maybe just insure with a specialist who would just note this very minor cosmetic change?
Where do you draw the line? Just declare everything which didn't come on the car when it left the factory.

If you picked your insurer wisely it will not effect the price of your policy if you declare the wheels.

Do some research on 'insure the box' Avoid Corsas, they seem to cost more to insure than equivalent vehicles, they are popular with 17-19 years olds and are crashed often, therefore carry a horrendous claaims loss ratio, therefore cost more to insure.

Sky Insurance...
We'd need to run through a quotation with you first of all to see if qwe can place your business with one of our underwriters, if we can I can then pose the question.
Feel free to PM me your contact details.

Try another insurers, it sounds like Elephant have given you no other alternative.
I dont think we'd have the same issue here but we'd need to confirm this with our underwriters.

It is unusual Dave, so unusual I think the best bet would be to contact your own insurers, that's the only way you'll get a definitive answer.

You got lucky, a lot of insurers will check up and confirm that it is genuine NCB you are using. If they find out it is not you'll be hit with an increased premium or policy cancellation.
Dont be annoyed with the insurers who will not accept it, the issue you have is with the company who sold it to you.
Feel free to give us a try though, we quote often work with people who do not hold genuine NCB.
