After a 2 year gap from driving, the risk you present to the insurers is much higher than someone without the driving gap, hence why after 2 years you lose the NCB. Makes sense to me.

Hi,
our cancellation rates are in line with our competitors and are verbally disclosed to you and sent in writing to you upon policy inception, if we have cancelled outside of the terms and conditions you were made aware of, please let me know by PM and I will investigate.
Thanks
It has nothing to do with age, it comes down to this really:
If you cannot afford to insure the car correctly, you shouldn't be on the road. And for what it is worth, my company insure highly modified/import/performance/engine swapped cars from age 19.
I'm off to a big Jap car show in a moment so I'll have to bow out of this conversation but just a few things:
A decent insurer will cover modifications on a like for like basis
Insurers can and will do some very careful investigations in the event of a claim, more so if the susupect foul play...
Ask said assessors what sort of investigations they do if there is a high value claim with PI costs involved.. You may think you know what you are talking about Jonny but you clearly do not.. and how would you feel if someone took your post as gospel, didn't disclose, had a claim, ran someone...
Predict replies of: "But you can always remove the ramap before the insurers assess the car"... when you are in the back on an ambulance that'll probably be the last thing on your mind.

TPFT cover - 23 and over
Minimum 2 years NCB
Free from (fault) claims in past 12 months.
If you meet...
