It happens because a seal has gone on the lights. It will come back if you don't fix the cause.

The one I worked out to miles was an average of what he said. 325,000 kms in fact.

It doesn't disable the airbags, I don't think nothing can disable them. It will erase the fault, though it will come back if you don't have anything in the connectors under the seat. If you have bucket seats you can put a resistor in the connector to fake an airbag which stops the light...

I dont have a trophy and i dont have a lumpy idle. I do however have the recaros and they are a bit stiff. I greased the rails up and that helped with the stiffness.

I wondered this as mine is missing a rivet thing that holds in place in the middle so keeps rubbing on the throttle body.

Exactly what danny said. This is the system i have on mine after the rusty old one gave up. Its good, but quiet enough for long journeys on motorways. Perfect to sit at 70 with CC on.
