With oil cooler 5W50, without oil cooler 10W60.
Renault spec 10W60 for all the F4R powered Cup racers but they don't run a cooler. If you run a decent air to air coil cooler 5W50 is fine.
I've had issues on a different engine upon changing the cams and lifters where 2 of the lifters had 'locked out'. I took them all out, drained them all, refitted everything and it was fine then.
One of the filter manufacturers and a bit of research. I can't remember the exact sources but I can remember the figures. I think one may have been Pipercross and the value was 19mm so I rounded it up to 20mm, easier to remember!
You need 20mm between the end of the trumpet and the filter + the same again from the filter to the bonnet, a rounded filter will give you more space than a square one.
You'll just have to measure and see what suits best.
It's held by a cable tie on one side and an alloy bracket on the other side that I knocked up, it rests on the existing rubbers fitted on the subframe. I intend to replace it with an alloy version at some point which I'll design and have made with proper brackets. However what I've got works...
What about Piper cams? They do two profiles. I've got the BP270 which give gains about equal to 438s, they also do a more aggresive BP285 profile now which wasn't available when I had mine done.
You could go 205 front and 195 rear. 205 all round or 195 all round.
In the DZ03G for example the 205 are a hard compound and the 195 are medium so its a good front/rear setup for grip from a start of a race for example as the rear won't dance around as much.
Shame about the vinyl. I'd have got it in writing from a government website or something and kept it in the car. It isn't a permanent change and doesn't need to be declared on the V5, although perhaps to the insurers.
I thought it looked pretty good in the blue. I'm going to order one of those...
The MSA are 're rating the tyres so today's R rated tyres might become list 1C and the new R888R will be 1B. Basically it's for improved wet weather performance because of the concerns with wet performance of the current R888, A048 etc.
As for width I run 205, they fit the wheels better and...
I found Federal RSR great on the road and good on the track. My qualms with the RSR were the outside edges wore away long before the rest of the tyre, after a few laps they went off and you could feel the grip tailing off quite a lot. At the time I ran DS2500 pads and these would outlast the...
Yeah Ph2 doesn't have any issues with the vent pipe. Just Ph1 :/
I may fit an EPAS column. I'm quite happy without it and I don't use the car much but the adjustability might come in useful. We'll see...
Happy days then :)
My 1st choice would be ED so fingers crossed they can help you. Otherwise Power Engineering are very good and AMD have a good reputation.
