Considered the H22? Bit cheaper than a K20 and one of the Time Attack Civics runs one very successfully. I know the K20 is the better option but if cost is ever an issue the H22 is a great engine.
Me. And anyone who says the box is slow is wrong. Bang it in race and use the paddles, quicker than any manual box by far and it doesn't detract from the driving experience imo. Then if you want to chill out and cruise just leave it in sport.
I'd have bought one but its not raw enough. None of...
Can't agree more. On Top Gear standard vs standard is set the quicker lap time too.
If I was on the lookout for a daily hot hatch it would be the Clio. I've driven both and the Clio is the better road car. The Fiesta is an 'end of the line' chassis whereas the Clio is not meaning potential...
I can see a DC2 costing more in the long run than a Trophy, the Clio is also more refined and easier to live with as a daily.
Will it be different to a 172 Cup? Not by much I wouldn't have thought. Slightly comfier and more toys yes, but the base car is still the same.
Cheers :)
It's taken a different route to what I'd originally intended! In hindsight I'd have done things differently and it would have been great to know what I know now when I started!
On the move PAS simply isn't required IMO, there's more feel. I got rather sideways coming out of Old Hall corner at Oulton Park and managed a save no problem. However I wouldn't recommend it for a road car, it makes parking more difficult.
It mounts in the same position but needs a separate...
Ahh you might have a rail without a pressure regulator. In which case it may well be easier to change the injectors as I'm not certain if you can run the ph1 fuel rail without the ph1 fuel pump.
I'm in Llandudno
No need for injectors! 4 bar fuel pressure regulator will do the job and give you better fuel atomisation too. That's what I run on mine with the DTH ITBs, ported head, cams etc. for 207bhp.
This is where I got mine...
Next year should be great if everything goes to plan! I've got some fibreglass doors to fit, I've ordered a fibreglass boot in the group buy and I'll order some polycarbonate windows in the new year. That'll be my weight loss sorted.
Unfortunately I have no fabrication and machining equipment...
I went from Koni adjustables with Cooksport springs to ASTs with 400lb front and 285lb rear springs. I didn't notice much difference in compliance but on track its like night and day. Very good coilovers.
I live on a peninsula between two beaches so I have corrosion worries but so far they've...
Got my cage from Mark Fish today, I went for the full safety devices cage with single removable door bars and removable diagonal and harness bar.
Like this, but in black...
Also I trial fitted my brake bells, tweaked the CSKs for the standard mounting bolts and gave them a lick of black VHT...
