I've seen many debates on here about soldering not being used in motorsport, can't take the vibrations. Maybe that's just in engine looms?
I'm happy with it...
What do people use for joins that you want to be able to disconnect and reconnect at will? Spade type crimp connectors or is there a...
I'm going to be doing some "wiring" in the clio. I imagine I'll be needing to do two things mostly:
1. Join the ends of 2 wires together
2. Join a new wire to an existing one without breaking the original wire
I'm familiar with what Halfords and the like have to offer but I've never found...
Normally you can tell which sensor from the fault code. Bank 1 sensor 1 being pre-cat and bank 1 sensor 2 being post cat?
36 mpg at 70mph isn't bad, I wouldn't expect to see much better than that. Plus I wouldn't trust the computer, you're best to brim the tank, reset the trip meter and note...
I think your reasoning on using the OMEX is sound.
Having your mapper on the doorstep is very handy. I think I will go with OMEX (or some other platform "anyone" can map) for that reason.
The tech may be old but it's about the same age as your car so the two should be well suited, plus people...
I put mine in without welding for the MoT as was a bit short of time. I'd done less 100 miles by the MoT and one of them had popped out, but the guy showed me but said it wasn't an MoT fail, so can't see why he failed yours.
I've welded them up now.
I doubt they are that efficient. But it doesn't matter anyway, new invoice for 0p showing they corrected defective work ;-)
You could take it somewhere and get them to say there was nothing wrong with it in the first place, just the clip had popped off, but I guess they'll charge for just...
The reason europe doesn't grind to a halt is that they invest in the infra structure to keep roads moving more than we do and people are used to driving in snow. But in this country it's not worth the investment we don't have enough snow. We've had a couple of decent dumps the last 2 years but...
Re: having come from a impreza what are cliosports like in the snow
I thought my 182 was crap in the snow, compared to other front wheel drive cars I've driven e.g. 205 GTI was miles better.
Could have been the tread pattern on the Eagle F1s on the front but it was struggling compared to most...
If you squeeze the ring around it in the right place it will pop off. Then you can have a look at it to see how it works - it is fairly straight forward, it has probably just lost its springyness due to age - if you take it off you should be able to see if there is anything else wrong with it.
Red is your fuel line into the rail. Blue is the return, green the regulator. Yellow is a bit of gasket, it's normal.
Sounds like you need a new connector on the fuel in line - I'm not sure whether it's a std connector or renault only.
