Nice work there guys.
Have you done anything about raising the rack to match the new wishbone position? You may get some bump steer if not.
It will be interesting to see how you get on with the new roll centres.
When are you hoping for your first race? I had my first outing on Sunday it was a...
Would you like the manual? PM me your e-mail.
Renault say you can do it with just the horse shoe and crank pin, as long as you don't need to undo the cam pulleys. It is obviously more accurate to loosen all 3 pulleys but the difference will be tiny and I don't think Renault undo all three...

Do you think you were out on track long enough to get the tyres up to temp?
Makes quite a difference with the DZ03s. That is what you were on isn't it looking at the pics?
My spring rates are only 80/70 F/R...
Thanks Phil. Just a few extra mods to your car...
I guess the rover was entitled to the line as I wasn't quite half way along side (that is what they say in F1 isn't it lol?). Certainly was a brown pant moment to for me ;)
A quick shot of you getting back past.
Nice to see you both again and thanks for the help with my "WTF do I do now questions".
Forgot to say I missed a gear :rasp:
I was losing the will to live editing mine. I've watched it so many times at 4x speed to speed up the editing that it now looks dead slow when I watch it normally.
Thanks again for all your help BTW and another good result for you guys.
I need a +ve feed under the bonnet, low current. It can be live either for position 1 or 2 of the key but not always live.
I don't really want to interfere with the ECU or ignition feeds.
Where have people taken feeds from? 172 cup BTW.
Thanks
Here's my edited highlights, a mere 25 minutes lol.
Jerry loses his gearbox at 13:15, I nearly overtake under yellow at 14:30 and I think I can see you pass a blue car that may be Pete just ahead. Don't know if that's what you got the penaulty for? Pete misses a gear at 17:20.
I was way too polite all day really, that's what got me at the start. Better to start that way and get more aggressive than the other way around I guess.
Jerry shot past, made lots of noise and I started to catch him up. Though umm that's not right he's much faster than me as I lifted off. Then...
Don't worry that's racing lol. I don't think I'd even noticed you. It happened to me a few times were I was so busy concentrating on what was going on in front I hadn't noticed what was going on behind.
Thanks guys.
Forgot to add my fastest lap was my last lap 55.78. Not far off Pete and Sam but a couple of seconds down on Burpspeed. I'm happy though seems about right for where I finished.
Mallory Park Tin Tops 26/8/12 - My First Race
I spent the week before doing lots of minor finishing off jobs, nothing too strenuous.
Loaded the car up Saturday night then set the alarm for 4:30. Got up loaded all the tyres, tools and spares into the tow car and set off. I arrived at Mallory...
Nice picture Pete. I can see your problem now, the gearstick is lower down than that ;)
Funnily enough I missed a gear into the hairpin 2 laps before after over taking a car and he was all over me. Luckily I managed to hold him off.
Thanks guys! Was an awesome day can't wait for the next one, which is Oulton for me as I can't make Donny.
I was very happy with 10th and the car behaved itself all day. Does rattle a bit when I start it sometimes... hopefully it will survive one more race.
Big thanks to you all for all the...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Sounds like a big improvement :)
I can't do Donnington as my brother has decided to have his stag do that weekend. Planning to do Oulton in October though.
I've had my ASTs nearly 4 years now. They've been...
Just means your tubes should be welded all the way around. Should be no problem for you as the cage was built out of the car and the bits in the car were easily accessible for welding.

Sounds like you had an interesting night. I'm looking forward to the update.
Just washed th car, took it for a drive to dry it out and nearly hit a f**king massive deer!!!
Also I've just ordered some wet tyres so it is now guaranteed not to rain. Latest met office forecast backs me up on this gone from heavy rain to cloudy in 12 hours lol.
Are you after looks or down force?
No reason why you couldn't make a proper one to run from the start of the tank all the way to the back and up the bumper, either over the bumper or by cutting a bit out.
I'll bet they are alot of fun with those narrow tyres 135/80R15 I think. The tyres on the one at Mallory looked standard ish width to me, although it was slammed (for a 2CV).
My 2nd car was a 2CV, lots of fun. As long as you don't want to do anything quickly.
Another update - Castle Combe Rally Day 18/8/12
My local car club were planning to attend the Rally Day at Castle Combe so I thought I'd go along.
Loads of interesting cars there. I had 4 track sessions lined up and some goes around the mini rally stage.
So I needed to make my car look like a...
