In order for the brakes to do something, on a 172 cup, it must go through both.
It's not clear to me what your original fault was?
New parts are obviously better than second hand...
MSA rules are +/- 10 degrees from horizontal preferred but up to 45 degrees down is OK.
Difficult to tell from the pick but it looks less then 45 degrees to me, so would be OK.
I think in a mk2 clio the rear seat belt mounts are closer to the front seats so the angle is over 45 degrees.
Thanks Jay. Yeah looks like it. Initially looking at the way OMP codes work and the fact it didn't dodge the dash I was thinking it was for the mk3 shell.
Looking at plumbed in extinguisher and cut off/battery relocation to behind front passenger seat next.
What have you guys used to get the positive feed inside the car? A hole and gromet or something like this...
Get some scrap from a local fabricators and get practicing, it'll come. I found switching from CO2 to CO2/Argon mix made my welds look alot prettier That's with a MIG BTW.
Got it all back in the car tonight, just second door bar to do.
Still got my ARDS test to do as well as loads of other bits and pieces.
Hoping to be ready for Silverstone on the 26th of May, planning on bringing to car to Brands on the 7th to let the scrutineers take a look.
Well it's been a while! 18 months lol.
I decided that racing was what I really wanted to do as I really enjoyed the wheel to wheel aspect of the grass track racing when I was younger. So I figured that I may as well get straight to it rather than building up to it so here goes.
I think this...
I wasn't sure I was ever going to finish it once I started, but it is starting to turn the corner now so I figured it was about time I came out ;) Just finished painting the cage and interior this weekend, so can start building it back up.
You might need to add me to this list. I really should update my project thread.
I'm hoping to do Silverstone, Anglesey, Mallory and Donnington. I'll be coming along to Brands to get the scruts to have a look over my car.
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
What's race tape?
Sounds like a baptism in fire ;) Good experience though.
I had similar experience, 80 odd quid isn't it.
I just used silicone gasket stuff same as you use for the cam cover - some of the variations don't have gaskets.
Think this is the stuff...
Re: once a problem is fixed, does the warning light go out, or does it need to be re
It depends what the problem is.
If it's on due to the knock sensor it will go out if there is no more knocking for a few hundred miles.
I don't think you will do anything beneficial by cleaning a lambda sensor.
