Hi all,
Picked this little beauty up yesterday from Stockport, drove brilliantly back to Glasgow. Big thanks to frazjam for driving my Megane back.
She's fairly standard except a k-tec exhaust. F1s could do with a re-furb but paintwork is in quite good condition and got an extremely fair deal...
Blue Clio mk2 ph2 non-sport.
Sometimes see it about 8am on A739 Switchback Road, Bearsden in the traffic for Glasgow. Had Cliosport sticker in back window.
Guessing it must be someones on here?
Splendid report and thread mate, trip looked awesome. Most of the people and indeed life disappear anywhere North of Inverness - some parts you'd have had the road to yourself i'd imagine.
Makes me proud to be Scottish.
Looks promising, but I think a 5 door only is a bad idea. Its just an excuse to introduce an over-priced 3 door "premium/coupe" model in about a years time. Citroen DS range springs to mind.
Welcome to the site........
My old mk2 had rokkor coilovers fitted they were cheap and did the job, does what it says on the tin.
Agreed with the RS grille. You say the interior needs work.....you can pick up a nice condition 172/182 interior quite cheap now,as I did. Pics below.
Get some pics...
I have the Megane Coupe dCi 110. Not had any issues what so ever with it, quite torquey for the size of engine but I can see why you have been put off Renault, what a nightmare! Hope things improve for you mate

I'm not thinking to buy that but would the mileage put anyone off? Colours not to everyones taste but provded all the...
True petrolhead I'd say, I sold my first car, 1.2 mk2 on 15/11/10 after 3 years and 42,000 miles and I still miss it. It doesnt matter if you are pleased with your new purchase (as I was) or not, seeing "your" car at the garage with a price on it gives you that sick/weird feeling IMO.
Yeah agreed, the belts were the main reason I didn't bite but the interior was pretty mint from what I remember, perfect steering wheel etc.
And yeah I stay in Glasgow but originally from Carradale...you know it?

Re: let us see pictures off your old cars you owned
Started with a Clio Campus i-Music (2007-2010) - THE best car ever, never ever let me down
Then upgraded to a Dynamique Tom Tom TCE (2010-2011)
Then had a mid-life crisis at the age of 21 and bought a 308 HDI (only had it for 5...
We shall be camping fri-mon. We usually leave from Bothwell services at about 7am on the friday then stop for breakfast when rush hours on - your welcome to tag along mate!

Mk4 debuts at 2012 Paris Motor Show. 5 door option only, but I think a "premium" 3 door model will follow, similar to the C3/DS3 set-up.
Road tax is £20 for mine (1.5 dCi 110 6 speed) but the 1.6 110 petrol is £165.
I drive through the centre Glasgow every day for work. Mpg here is about 48-50mpg but out of town it will do 65mpg without even trying.
Picked this up just before Christmas. Love it so far - dCi 110 is not rapid but torquey - pulls well through the gears.
Completely standard except for the optional 17" wheels, which fill the arches much better in my opinion.
Let me know what you think!
