Sorry for not having any updates lately been so busy getting the car ready and family just haven't had chance.
Well I finally got the car finished and log booked just before Christmas, so decided to entry the pembrey Xmas stages.
First stages was really slippery and covered in ice, I spun twice...

Ye I've never heard of gripper doing st75 final drive, but I may be wrong, plus if your after a 3.8 I may no some one up in Scotland that has one, he fitted one of these boxes to a corsa rally car and swapped the final drive, I could find out for you if you like?
Ye there was 2 main factors that cause my box to sh*t itself!ha
one was there was wear to one of the dog ring gears which meant who ever put it together decided the best thing to do was not to tighten the nut on the end of the pinion to correct torque to stop it looking up a gear on the shaft...

I mean the same bell housing as the st75-14 on the clio 2 cups, same as mine, because you can get them from Rsport I think. If you sell yours compete you'd could buy the r3 maxi kit and convert the 197 :)
Bloody hell Ian, that box is going to cost a fair bit I imagine? Wouldn't a st75-14 be able to handle the power of the f3 engine? Will you need a have a custom bell housing or could you use the same one as the European spec clio cup racers? fair play tho it's going to be a weapon when...
Nice engine there ian,I looked at buying this a few weeks ago but didnt have the cash to repair it, I did manage to find a similar engine from a f3 car which was complete and recently rebuilt for 5000euros so may look into that in the near future.
Are you going to run the dry sump?
Mines the same too, even with the adjustable wishbones and full geo setup by pms.
but the car had been in a smash before i bought it. I did put it on the jig when putting the cage in so I know the car is straight?!
I've got one fitted, and tbh they aren't that heavy and give extra strength to the subframe too, much more than I Kevlar one, I would of thought.
