Re: SUPER 1600 REPLICA based on 172, CLIO WILLIAMS Tribute, CLIO WILLIAMS IV (Austra
Looking forward to see how this going to turn out!
As for winding over the rear track are you going to be doing something like this?
I saw this on a ex clio cup car in France, converted to a clio rs maxi...
Ok maybe I was being a little optimistic with the £3500 :) but surely not worth more than £4250! Especially when at that asking price you are looking at a decent st75-14
I've just found two stdsa boxes for sale at offers around 5000euros! bearing in mind that was in France!
thanks for that, I've just called them now and they couldn't really help me at all tbh. they said they don't deal with the mapping side of it and so I'm still at little stuck here.
As far as I'm aware magneti use a software called vision which is used to map and calibrate there ecu's but I just...
I completely agree! these gearboxes are only worth £3500 at most. That one is well overpriced. Plus the cost if retrofitting one of these gearboxes isn't worth the hassle. After just fitting a st75 to my car you need mounts, subframe, wishbones for the longer shafts and the correct wiring to get...
Right I've managed to source a new unlocked version of the cup racer ecu. it's a mf3s version instead of the mf4m version that I current have, the only difference between the too I can find out from the data sheet is that mf4m has a anti lag feature which isn't on mf3s and isn't any use to. All...
Cheers pal, been a long old slog but finally getting there :)
I noticed you live quite close to me, your more thank welcome to pop over and have a look and go for a spin? there a few clio night event cars popping down this way and they seem to doing well against these escort mk2's
Haha that's my car, didn't realise he's put them on the web site,
well not got any set dates asyet, just going to do testing and go from there, most likely do local event first and see what happens. Plan is do the full welsh Tarmac champ next year now, this year is just to get the little things...
Tank guard is a Kevlar guard from Hal off here, not sure if he's still doing them?
the sump guard is from pure Motorsport, which is 6mm thick. nice bit of kit with the tunnel in it for the gear selector, I'll take pic later if you want?
Thanks for that, I'll try and copy that as best as possible, I see what you mean but making them out of ally, I suppose they just snap otherwise being so rigid, especially me doing rally I'm sure ill be going off in all sort of condition lol.
do you think you could measure that plate and send...
Tbh I thought that as the angle isn't great, I searched a little before fitting and noticed that some people put the tab further over to get a better angle but the problem I have now is that that I've cut the other side so won't be a nice fit,
I'll try that and see how it goes,
Just need to...
Only I small update.
managed to fit the cup racer brake vents yesterday, took me like 4 hours of messing around to get them to fit!
These ain't original ones but copy's of the originals so you can imagine how bad the fit was, but I'm pretty pleased how they turned out :)
they use a much larger wheel bearing, also it doesnt use a pinch bolt for the ball joints. only down side is the bolt spacing isn't the same as clio so would mean modifying your suspension struts.
Ye, everything is fully adjustable now, the only thing that is holding me back now is the arches, because I'm using 16inch wheels, not getting as much castor, but still a decent amount.
Going to tube the arches next winter when we we strip it back.
I got the cylinder from martijn who sells the cup racer parts on here, but these are available from rsport as far as im aware. It's a 23.8 cylinder the same as what's in a 406 v6 I think
I'm the first person to use it, and were going to do some testing down prembrey in April, maybe he's waiting for us to complete the testing before advertising it to the general public?.
I'm sure if you give them a call they will give you more information on it.
As for the feel of it...it feels...
As for the group n engines I've actual got the homologation papers for the car and you won't believe the amount of tolerance there is.
If anybody is interested i can send them a copy to them..but bare in mind most of its in French lol
Ye since fitting the sequential I've also used the cup race loom and ecu, was just wondering weather there was any difference to the timing in these too since they use the same cams
Does anybody know weather the cup racers used the 'group n timing tool' when timing up there engines?
Just because the parts numbers on the cams for the group n and cup racer are the same
I absolutely love the Nova! reminds me of my first ever car which was a Black Nova Gte, I thought it was best thing since sliced bread!! Did make me lose my licence tho mind!lol
Basically I'm looking to fit a Anderson plug between the battery and starter motor on my rally car,
I'm running a cup racer loom and the connection on there are very bad and potentially dangerous,
What size plug would I need, on start up I have been informed that there is a potential of...
