It was loose , i doubt the garage sorting the gearbox touched it.

Summer tyres - you will no doubt survive but if you come across a hill or other people stuck most likely you will be too , the further south you are the more likely you are to rely on them unless...
reality is you would never own a set unless you maybe lived in the far reaches of scotland though ..... they are a pain on roads not covered in ice or snow ..... from personal experience.
Your information is incorrect .It is not illegal to use studded tyres in the uk in apropriate conditions.

Parking cuts will not fail an mot , that area of the tyre is normally just a rim protector to serve as a buffer to rim damage , most garages would glue that down rather than stick a new tyre on.
if you have a bulge then the structure of the carcass is damaged and you risk a blowout something...

1 degree = 60 arc minutes , so 1deg 51' is 1 degree 51 minutes , half a degree is 30 mins
his LR camber is near as damit spot on .....

Joking and poking you aside I am glad you admitted your speed ... when a driver admittsca speed its very often higher. Know doubt you will understand that maybe a slower aproach to a blind bend may have been more appropriate .
Therevare also many advanced driving techniques that would change...
go on in all seriousness how fast were you going ? , if you can be honest 50 ? 60 ?
and you say you ended up in a ditch ? why is the side of the car not trashed , as cars and ditches mostly end up as panel damage.
