Have you checked you have the right bolts for your new wheels , because thats what should be centring your wheels and the reason they are tapered and you should always cross tighten ? i bet the wheel bolt angle is not right for your new wheels

the right size plastic spigot rings will be fine , but please never torque up track wheels to something silly , they get hot and shatter , i have seen it happen twice !! FWD cars are critical on the PCD , strangely you don't have such an issue with RWD. the best option is a wheel with no need...

If you want an airbag wheel thats small look on ebay for a lotus one , small and all the later cars have airbags , you can pick one up for 80 to 100 quid if you can find one when you look.
