Re: Insurance claim advise
I don't work for Admiral or anyone within that group, I am just insured through Admiral and receive no benefit or discounted rate through being an Underwriter.
The reason why your renewal premium is likely to have increased is due to general rise in premiums in...
Re: Insurance claim advise
Insurance companies are very unlikely to penalise you for a non-fault claim, so if you pay the damage yourself (essentially not submitting a claim) then it will go down as a non-fault with your no claims bonus not affected. This is not going to have any effect on your...
Saw a Trophy in the snow this morning coming into Cuckfield from Balcombe way, then on the way home saw an RB just going past the A23 turning by Bolney Village... The conditions were shocking but I waved at both of you!
Anyone from here?
Saw you this morning getting your car cleaned up there. I was getting my Mum a belated gift for Mother's Day and when I came out you were gone! Think you had different alloys on front/back and I saw you looking over at me as I drove through the car park so decided you might be a bit of a car...
So I got into my car either Thursday 14th Feb or Tuesday 19th Feb (can't remember which) and it felt rotten, the wheel was all over the place with strange pull and it didn't feel nice, even at slow speeds (in rolling traffic)... I then had some horrific understeer later on in the journey where I...
Sorry to bump the thread, I felt as this was an active topic and was the best place to post.
On December 5th I renewed my policy, my first full year policy with the Trophy. I am 19, with 2 years NCB. I was quoted £1450.08 and jumped at that price. This was with Elephant, and Admiral were...
Unfortunately my dipped beam on the passenger side seems to have died.
Straight up question... I am going to get it replaced tomorrow, what bulb should I put in there? Halfords is probably a safe bet, i'd preferably like something quite bright... Is there a specific bulb anyone can recommend...
I imagine that's the easiest thing out of everything he did?
Very nice... This is my kind of thing! Love seeing things like this.
Would dread to see what mine would be like, I kind of don't think it's worth looking at because of the insane costs.
Insurers can assume that, and they do... They could back it up with figures are as well and say "look, people who say they did 4000 miles seem to perform worse than people who do 10000 miles". Underwriters know how to put 2+2 together.
Also, if you drive your car infrequently then you're likely...
It ultimately depends on the insurer, but some companies are well aware that people lie when attempting to gain a cheaper quote, and act against it by increasing the rates on those groups.
To be honest, your best bet is just to use the 4 main aggregator sites (GoCompare, CompareTheMarket, Confused & MoneySupermarket and just run the same details through each of them and you might just get a cheaper quote. I put mine through them on Friday and I got prices from the same insurers...
Fiesta ST's are very quick cars, they feel very quick too. Not far off of a 182.
My mate paid £4800 to insure 1 last year at the age of 19. Probably not that much better than a 182, and everyone here (no surprises here) will tell you a 182 is worth the wait.
Insurance companies rate very highly on where you live. I work for one, I know exactly what the difference is between living where I do (Surrey) and living in other places. We don't even insure anyone in Central Manchester or Central Liverpool (or most large northern cities) as they just don't...
It's Wakefield mate, everywhere up North is high... South is much better, anywhere in the South.
Oh and for all of your information... Fronting doesn't work anymore.
Would you mind PMing me with the company you're insured with? My renewal is on 6th December and Admiral have quoted me £1900 for my renewal on the Trophy, which is very expensive as 2 months ago I was getting quotes of £1800 not including the MultiCar discount.
I also happen to work for an...
