Parked up just along from the pier... Had some awful chrome alloys, possibly lowered a bit, smoked rear lights, square twin exhausts, rear tints and a half peeled off K-Tec racing sticker along the side
Was absolutely screaming for help :( Hope it wasn't someone from here, but it's always a...
If it's going to be your car and if you'll drive it the most in your family then do not get insured as a named driver on your Dads policy, it's not legal and you won't be covered.
Direct Line specifically state that a named driver must drive the car no more on average than once a fortnight...
My rear alloys were wobbling all over the place and I took it to the garage and he says both alloys are buckled quite badly, but they are fixable... I've got no idea how i've managed to do it, but that's beside the point really.
I've been told it'll cost around £80-£100 per alloy to fix, and a...
Basically, I made a thread the other day saying that i've sheared a bolt on my alloy (right rear)... I didn't know what caused this or what effects this has, but I think i've found out today.
I was driving me and my mate to the station and my Dad was going to drive it back, on the way I noticed...
Dunsfold Aerodrome (where they film Top Gear) is full of warehouses filled with old cars and there's so many firms who repair/restore old cars in there. Next time i'm in there i'll take a picture of some of them!
Alright danny cheers mate.. I can't actually remember when I last had the wheels off but i dont think i could have over tightened them by hand! Must mean that the garage has done it, will look out for it in future
Mine does it, has down it since I bought it... I just put it down to the fact that my car is lowered and it's French... It doesn't bother me much because i always drive with music on and the window open
nice one mate... I'll get the garage to look at it this week! Yeh they'd go mad! Thanks
Hmm, could be... With the size of the bolts though I imagine it'd need to be a pretty big impact, maybe I smashed a pothole and that caused the centre cap to come off and the bolt to shear! Hopefully it is...
Yehh man, I just nipped down last week and said I want a induction kit to make my car sound less awful... he said the powertec one is the best one for that and because I have a rectangle air box at the moment he'll have to get it made by powertec and then sent to them.
Also, i've tried changing...
It's like 4 screws apparently, but for £15 he's fitting it, changing my splitter to the Skoda one and taking a look at the sheared bolt on an alloy of mine, so it's not too bad.
EDIT: and they're supplying the part
Booked mine into Edge Performance in Aldershot to get a Powertec kit fitted into my 1.2... Not looking for any gains and even read up on here that I could get power loss from it (?).. Basically wanting it to sound better because at the moment it's just horrendous.. Does anyone have one of these...
I've got TD alloys with 4 bolts, and on my right rear i've lost both the centre cap and it looks like one of the bolts has been sheared quite deep inside... I have no idea how this could have happened, there is not a scratch on the alloy so it's not like i've smashed a kerb or anything, but it's...

In the outdoor Odeon carpark earlier tonight at about 10ish... Was absolutely mint, cleanest car in the entire car park... Didn't see any CS stickers, but there's a chance he could be on here.
Anyone?
I'd be up for it, always wanted to go karting with a huge group as it's usually just me, my brother and my Dad going round and they're easy meat!
I went to Crawley on my 10th birthday or something, it was good and they've know got a much longer "international" track I believe.
You can go the police and ask for crash/theft statistics for certain types of cars, and you can phone up your insurance company and say "Clio thefts have decreased this year so why has my premium gone up?" and they'll say "In your area clio thefts have gone up".. It's bullshit, we know it and...
Was parked next to you at Chieveley before the convoy up on Saturday, me and my mate were admiring the car haha :)
Where abouts do you live? I saw your post about the Hindhead tunnel so i'm guessing it's local
I'm glad you're ok mate, rolling a car could end a lot worse for the driver that it did!
@DanFreeman - In the small print it says you do have to tell them yeh, but that's so they can hike your prices!
It was a great day... Me and my mate really enjoyed it, although we couldn't afford to go in the museum because we're skint :(
Thanks to the admin and everyone involved in organising the event, the raffle had some great prizes and I was 1 number off winning a track day (which i'd have sold on...
I will indeed be attending after all.. I'll be at Chieveley at 9am :)
Anyone else in the convoy driving a 1.2? I doubt i'll be able to keep up with the convoy once we hit the M40 so I can just hold back and chill with the other slow cars! lol
I think you probs just spoke on behalf of the entire forum! Was worth a try :P haha
If I drive all the way up tomorrow and it's full I will s**t the bed and cry
