knackered lump i have a good standard engine ready to go i just wanna do a few bits and bobs b4 it goes in,as i dont want it to break down on me on the day lol.:o

what do u mean by bubbling? like spitting little droplets out?

could also be the opposite and running lean?

check non of the pick up rings has cracked as when it gets hot it will open up and put the light on.then as u say, it cools down and the gap closes so it will pick up again. just a possibility :)

best way to get it flat is to get 2 big washers that cover the hole and a bolt in the centre and tighten the bolt so it sandwiches the bent metal around the hole flat as it clamps up. if u see what i mean. :)

not to my taste but it does make the car more individual and it aint that bad that he needs shooting ???????

once the drop is sorted out i think it will look pretty smart,well done matey :)

ive already bought a good standard engine,but would anybody recommend anythin to increase the power a little? ie cams headwork ect withput spendin crazy money? also whats involved with the williams conversion ect for tryin to source the engine and box?

i bought it like it nice and cheap,the guys cambelt snapped 2 years ago and it had been in his garage ever since so i offered him silly money and he took it.

just thought id say hello as i have just joined,i have just bought a mk 1 clio 16v with a knackered engine,i have already bought a complete engine and just wondered if there was any tweeks people would recommend while i have the engine out?:D
