what about plugs and leads? i would say the mambda sensor and the coolant temp sensor will be next in line.

is the MPG ok? Does the temp guage read normal?

My guess would try try the Idle control valve, then lambda sensor. More likely to be the lambda though. Any warning lights or fault codes?
