    clio 16v vs 106 gti

    if the stig did a lap in each i think the 106gti will get a better time as i think they are that littke bit better all round.. i've had a 1.3rallye and 16v and think the 106 handled better than anything ive ever driven.. (hothatch wise)

    i was using a trolly jack on block paving and did something like that, ounched the floor pan up.. doh.. you efforts better tho, just makes people unnderstand why you should use axle stand with all jobs..

    your thinking of the sanders used for bodywork, they spin if they are free from the surface, but shake if against it.. if you grabbed the rotating disk and turned it on. you will be able to hold it easily.. d.a sander

    1,8 16v/ williams into a r5 turbo

    a few lads on the rtoc have dropped 172 lumps in there gtt's.. (some more are too i think) one lads turbocharging it so that should go very well... ctm did one i think and the rest are diy jobs

    nothing wrong with high miles on many cars so long as theres a good fshistory.. if things have been replaced then theres not much to worry about.. my 5gtt has got 150k on the clock with a fRsh and it runs sweet as a nut, original engine, gearbox, and headgasket unless it was done on the sly...

    get a small wire brush out on the kerbing and start the repairs from scratch.. as for masking just get the normal stuff but a good few rolls as you may find yourself re-doing it due to water messing it up in the wet/dry stages.. most important is clean the tyres off with a window cleaner or...

    car makers are already doing it as a tax dodge with smaller engined cars with turbos bolted to them, its not a new idea.. if the taxing is changed it may decide for car makers what they will do.. if they increase the gap between 1-2-3L car i'd say yes, if they go 4 pay as you go road tax...

    do plenty of coats and wet and dry between them or you will end up with orange peel... you can speed things up by putting them in the oven on a low heat..

    power bar.. go to a tyre place and ask them to crack them off and torque them up to the correct setting.. 85nm or something

    How much wear do you get out of your front tyres!?

    my old dears were at 12k nearly with loads of tread left.. sadly one got replaced due to a flat and it got raped for a while as she drove the last few streets home.. they were doing very well tho and i expect would have sen 20k+ no trouble
