if the stig did a lap in each i think the 106gti will get a better time as i think they are that littke bit better all round.. i've had a 1.3rallye and 16v and think the 106 handled better than anything ive ever driven.. (hothatch wise)

your thinking of the sanders used for bodywork, they spin if they are free from the surface, but shake if against it.. if you grabbed the rotating disk and turned it on. you will be able to hold it easily..

a few lads on the rtoc have dropped 172 lumps in there gtt's.. (some more are too i think) one lads turbocharging it so that should go very well...

nothing wrong with high miles on many cars so long as theres a good fshistory.. if things have been replaced then theres not much to worry about.. my 5gtt has got 150k on the clock with a fRsh and it runs sweet as a nut, original engine, gearbox, and headgasket unless it was done on the sly...

do plenty of coats and wet and dry between them or you will end up with orange peel... you can speed things up by putting them in the oven on a low heat..
