By the way don't suppose anyone in the North East owns or knows a 172 Cup reg CK03CKY ?.. I purchased that new in 2003.. I saw it a few years ago drive past me so I think it's still in the Newcastle area.

Having owned Renault 5 turbos (3 in total over a 10 year period), and once upon a time was the owner of a brand new 03 reg 172 cup.. the glory days came to an end in when my 2 kids arrived and they were all traded in \ sold for a Renault Scenic DCI. My biggest regret was selling my 'mint'...

I've owned a 5 turbo for the last 10 years, as well as a 172 cup and I think I can answer this question for everyone. A standard 5 is not fast, a 172/182 will leave it for dead... The thing with the 5's is that you can wind the boost up quite easily and for not much money they will put out a...

How much for an engine and manifolds etc? Im thinking to put one in a renault 5 turbo as they bold straight onto the renault 5 gearbox apparently... Just need a running block and ecu and a bit of bodging to make it fit tight..

yeah ralph, the crap thing is the classifieds on there are now restricted to members only... another reason why paying them £15 a year is a ripoff, you advertise something and don't even get full market exposure :|

I used to be a member Clart, I've had 5 turbo's since I was 19 (i'm 27 now)... and I think the RTOC is a rip off... £15 a year to chat on a forum... Why should the site owners profit so hard from running a forum? Fair enough they have other stuff to offer but I live up north and don't go to any...

although they do exist..! I picked up a minter 100% standard 1 lady owner from new, every receipt from new and FSH for £1500 on ebay 2yrs ago ;).. it sits in my garage waiting for the summer months.

I remember ages ago on the RTOC website seeing an article about 5 turbos having a problem where the starter motor just makes a clicking noise and doesnt turn over sometimes, but it was fixed by changing some relay or something, wasn't the actual motor.. can anyone help me out?... I dont wanna...

£55 gets 220 miles :( but he's left a full tank... the only hassle is I have to drive 30 miles every 3 days to his house to feed his cat lol... seems a good deal to me.
