172 is alot quicker than any 1.8t golf or Audi mate.0-60 or 0-100mph . Insurance is gonna kill you on the 172 also. ....didn't think insurance companies would entertain someone of your age on the 172/182. Take care though, going from a 1.2 to a 172. lol

Felt more reponsive when removed mine. Worth a go in my opinion. Jms remove these as part of their paid package deals also. If you have the spare time get rid of it, u won't be dissapointed...I WASN'T;)

Not all 172s mate, some actually do make book power as standard. Mine's making 176bhp with just a ktec stealth cat back and the removal of the accoustic valve. Also more responsive than my previous 182 was.

Sold the 182 and got the 172 6months back, to free up some needed cash at the time. Happy with the 172 as it feels just as quick as the 182. Got to change info on left:)

Couldn't care less what you think tbh. I'm only stating what my car has been dynoed at, with similar results on three seperate occasions by different specialists. Also pretty sure I was wide awake at the time..

Mine hasn't been mapped yet mate.

My 172 phase 2 is running 176bhp with just a ktec stealth exhaust and a removed accoustic valve. So I would imagine anywhere from 180-190bhp with the mods you have.

Clio 172 is the quicker of the two standard, provided it's been looked after.

Made a noticeable difference when removed mine.

Standard airbox + uprated panel filter + remove the acoustic valve. Job done!! Works VERY well;)

Just go to Halfords mate and you will find what u need there.. Any make will do just make sure its not a harsh one. Hope all goes well, as said before u have done a great job, and if done right u will have the colour alloy's u desire.

Never driven the 172cup but have owned a 182 and phase 2 172. The 172 and 182 are near identical in every way imo.. Can only imagine the 172 to be sharper more driver focused raw etc...

Forget the patch up unless it's only a small hole/split, other wise it's a waste of time as I found out. First time I patched it it lasted 1week, 2nd time lasted 2hours!!!!!

Getting a Ktec supersport stealth (mild steel) for the 172 as its cheaper than the renault option, also hopefully not to loud. My only concern is what I have read about delivery times? Some one on here has quoted 6 WEEKS!!!!! for delivery???? I need mine as soon as possible and cannot wait...
