Don't understand what you've just said but mine is a 172 cup mate doesn't have cruise control.

I'm guessing since you mentioned the fluid you've checked the level of it. Could also be the power steering pump, happened to mine before. If it is that it wont go away by chance, it will only get louder and louder and louder!
