It would have been nice if we'd got a bigger engine, even 2.3 EcoBoost or something, but I still think they're awesome. They have real presence in the metal.
Yeah that is a bit of an issue in this country I should imagine. Fine for the yanks, where lots of people have trucks as cars, but a pain here.
They're still cool as f**k though.
I'm rather pleased about this. Those three cars will make a great garage and hopefully you'll get plenty of smiles out of it as a standard car - enough to make the bad memories fade away hopefully!
I opened this thinking, why on earth would someone do that? In reality, it's a bit of a mad and pointless conversion, give you can use Renault bits. That being said, there is nothing wrong with being a bit mad and pointless sometimes, and you've done a great job with the install. The dials look...
Cheers.
I think I'll start with the lower torque mount perhaps, then track rods and ends. I noticed it had had an advisory in the last couple of years for them, but I suspect they weren't done, so seems a good place to start.

On my 172, I used mostly Lemforder for track rod ends etc, with genuine Renault lower arms and the odd Powerflex bush...

Saw this when I picked my 197 up earlier, belonged to one of the guys who ran the place. Fully restored and lovely:
While I was driving back I saw a...
I would think that almost anything off-the-shelf is going to have very little impact, other than adding some drag. The vast majority of aftermarket stuff is purely for looks and won't have been anywhere near a wind tunnel or anyone with aerodynamic knowledge.
This is worth a look...
That will make it look a lot better. I know what you mean about the skirts, always a risk removing stuff like that. I think I would have to though. I think it would still work as you still have the diffuser. To each his own though. It's still a lovely car, regardless of what I think!
