I'd certainly take a 197 over a 182 for road use. They're worse on fuel, but nicer in every other way in my opinion.
As above, for track use, put in decent brake fluid, decent brake pads and just use it. I wouldn't even bother with a second set of wheels, not initially at least. Just fit decent...
I reckon if MRF are doing you a good deal (and you get on with them OK at Chester), I'd be tempted to go for it. A bit of budget saved for other things!

Yep, that was one of my favourites too! I did actually enjoy the one with the guy from STG too. He came across better than I expected and I found it interesting. I do find car media a really interesting topic in itself though.
So they want to sponsor you, but would rather you crashed if it rains than use a different tyre 😂 Do they do a 16" tyre? I guess that would be an option in the short term, as I'm sure a 15" tyre will appear eventually (though I guess 15" is pretty rare on homologated cars now). It's that or fit...
MRF are interesting I think. Apparently they have some very good engineers working for them. Going to be interesting to see how they develop. Would like to try them.
