That's a proper car with some proper bits on it! Will be a serious tool I should think. I think you need to get rid of the red leather bits now though, looks a bit odd. Not 100% sure on the carbon rear corner splitter things myself, but each to their own. Lovely car all the same.
Oh, and long...
Cool, thanks for the info. Is it a LHD, or RHD? I have a feeling that some of the Japanese imports were LHD.
How many do you think there are out there? Are the new ones very popular? I'm going to be out in Dubai for a holiday for a few weeks, so will have to keep my eyes open for Renaults now...
Interesting. Where did you import it from? Was it difficult? Which R.S. models do you get over there?
Sorry for all the questions, just interested, as there's a chance I might be spending a bit more time in the region in the future, so nice to know these things!
Yeah getting much from the 197 is a challenge, as they are pretty well tuned from the factory.
Personally, I think I would do the suspension, make sure it has good rubber and all the bushes are fresh (apologies if I'm preaching to the converted and you've already done it!) and see how you get...
What spec is the Clio currently? There might be things you can do to add some excitement to it.
I must say, while Meglios are quite cool, I think I would probably just buy a Megane. The money saved could be spent on some choice upgrades. By the time you're done, you're probably into R26 money...
I have also joined the club. Not sure how long I'll keep it. Was in need of a car as my daily is knackered. Body is pretty good, interior needs a good clean and driver's seat isn't great. Sounds like it has a stainless too, but need to work out what it is.
Circumstances might mean it's not a...
These aren't too bad in terms of cost in my experience. Some bits are pricey, but a friend of mine has one and has spent very little on it really. His gets loads of stick. When I was using his a couple of weeks ago, I was getting 35mpg, which was better than I expected really.
You can buy the...
I think you either like them or you don't if you've come from MK1/2 Clios. They're very different to the older formula. It probably suits me a bit better as it's a bit nicer on dual carriageways than a 1*2 (apart from the silly short gearing), but can still offer plenty of fun when you're in the...
Not really intentional, but it's happened :ROFLMAO: As some of you know, I had been running about in a Vectra wagon for the last year or so. It was pretty much the most boring car in the world, but was deeply practical, acting as a tow car and a van for carrying rally-related crap about...
Ask the dealer if it has the latest key. All new ones are supplied with motion sensitive keys that go to sleep after 40 seconds, so can't be got by those signal relay boxes. If it didn't have it from the factory, you can still upgrade to the motion sensitive key on the MK8.
Cleaning things was only ever likely to be a temporary fix in reality. I've rarely known if it working for any length of time.
I did see a one owner, J-plate 240 for sale local to me.
I know I said that, if you bought a big V8, it would be sold again pretty soon, but this is a bit more extreme than even I expected :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
