Well now I own his V6 Laguna as he gave it to me in PX, but my Dad decided he wanted my Black Gold 182, and he might even come to the Ring with me.
His insurance is £250 fully comp. lucky git:)

everyday use is fine as long as yu dont have to park in tight spaces all the time, love the way mine feels and its one of the best mods I have done to mine so far, I let Mark drive mine before he made his decision about ditching the PAS.
As to how heavy it is, not much difference when driving...
Spent the last couple of hours trying to flash my XDA with the touch rom, I'm baffled had a look on XDA developers forum but so much info I dont know what to do.
Any simple ways that anyone knows?

look at the steering wheel and you will notice that at the point when it meets the steering column it has 2 lugs which when the wheel is mounted it aligns with 2 cutouts in the plastic bit at the base to which the wheel is mounted
Protyre is a national company so yes , I get charged just under £50 for a setup
and it takes them around an hour to do
If you want them set up with corner weighting then mark fish is the only option
you need to put a couple of self tapping screws in the boss, look at the lugs on the original wheel and you will see what I mean
also it may need setting up on the clip system if you have set the steering angle wrong.
I fit the coilovers and set up ride height to whatever is required
then I take the car to protyre for final setup, the guy that does it must be about 60 everytime I have gone round to them he always moans LOL, but I must say he does a spot on job. He set mine up a treat.

I tried to fit the lines supplied, possible to do but no way they would pass an MOT test, way to long and needed cable ties to stop them from rubbing(found a pic of the lines supplied fitted) so ended up making some custom pipes so that I could fit goodridge braided lines , so much better and...
should really have the electronic colum the rack I have, but it dont bother me.
You can get a normal rack for them, but I cant remember which varient of clio has it.
170.2 atw, no ac or ps. Pulls like a train, only other mods are 182 engine with 172 manifold, de-cat, exhaust.
I have used a clio dci steering rack, and with my little wheel its a bit heavy when parking but on the road driving its fine.
Renault Warranty is a joke IMO, 2 example to back this.......
Took a gearbox to a dealer to be rectified, tried to say wrong oil was used hence failure...mmmm well once I produced invoice they said "Oh OK you have used correct oil we will do it!!"

Was going to sell my 172, but look at it how could I, all the time and effort , new seats, coilovers and a load of other stuff.
Very happy with it so after a bit of thinking going to sell the 182 I have instead.
