Euro Car Parts - Brakes - Eicher

Nothing wrong with ECP stuff, fine for road use but would probably go with Brembo or ATE performance brakes for track use.

    rear pads and discs

Get the Renault ones, they are just under £100 + vat, comes with everything you need and while you are at the dealer ask for the Motrio rear pads as well.

    suspension setup and tracking?

Knocking will be something worn, ball joints seem to be failing all the time on the sports lately so get that checked. You need to get the knocking sorted before the suspension set up or you will just be wasting money. I recommend my local Pro-Tyre as they are spot on, cant say what your local...

    rattly exhust heat shield

Boolocks had mine on the ramp today for this very problem, had to get it off the ramp for a waiting job and forgot to do it, thanks for reminding me. Large washer and new nut usually does the job, or rip it off if your hardcore.

    Lucky Cambelt Escape!

Seen that a few times before , not just on the sports. Feel sorry for the guy that booked in for a cambelt change on his scenic the other week, booked it for the following week but he turned up the very next day on a breakdown truck with a snapped cambelt.

Aux belt an easy job for average garage?

you can still get the tool down to the tensioner with bumper and headlight on.

Aux belt an easy job for average garage?

Kits around £116+vat Official book time is 2.2 hours, thats if you do it the long way and take the bumper and headlight out which you really dont need to do. A decent garage should be able to do this job no problems.

any tips on removing the front lamba sensor?

best advise is do it when the car is cold! I hate it when people come in for this job and expect it done within an hour, many a time I have ended up with a great big blister on my hand. Use a proper oxygen sensor socket and it will be easy to remove, forget spanners and normal sockets correct...

    1.2 mk2 - price on timing belt?

crikey seems if anything costs more than 15 pence lately its expensive, good price that IMO as long as its a full timing belt kit but get them to check the waterpump and change the accessory belt.

    Sump Plug washer

wrong washer as the Renaults with alloy sumps need the washer with the rubber seal, but if its not leaking I might be able to get rid of the shed load of washers I have just like that one.

    Car not starting AGAIN!

change the starter motor, and if your clever you dont need to remove the driveshaft as it will come out via the top of the engine rather than the bottom.

Help needed too hot-heater gone wrong!

so its climate control if you press buttons to get fan and temp to change with button pressing. I expect you could have two things wrong, heater resistor fooked and a possible mixer motor failure, could even be the panel at fault. Needs a clip diagnostic test to see whats causing the problem. Or...

    can i achieve 14.38 sec @ 97.89 mph ?

mm.. I run 13.98 and 0-60 in 5.8 secs in a full fat 172 with exhaust/remap and laughing gas and that took around 6 attempts. You might be lucky if you get your tyres up to temp and get a perfect start.
