To be honest I've never had a problem with the driving position, I'm 5 '10' ish so it's about right for me, but everyone else does seem to comment on it. Didn't the addition of Trendlines reduce the height by 10mm over the normal seats? I'm sure I've heard that somewhere. Granted it won't make a...
Fred - Trendlines are brilliant! Supportive, comfy, look great, what more do you want!? Ok, they aren't gonna be as supportive as Pole Positions or deeper bucket seats like that but as a compromise between road and track, I think they are very good.
An Orbisoud exhaust is a must IMO. Best...
I love my clutch! Everyone who's driven my car always comments on how heavy it is but it's great IMO! I drove my mates stripped Punto HGT on Saturday and it felt so light and weird compared to the Trophy. Seems to have a really short travel aswell compared to other cars, she'll easily get used...
'UR 02 SLO' is perfect, what a gorgeous looking car!
Ali yours would look good with anthracite CSL's, proper weapon.
How are you finding it to drive? Is it an everyday car? I'd love one in a few years when the insurance won't be too bad.
My Dad used to have a Z3M Coupe in Black on a...
To be honest, i'd prefer an Edition 30 rather than an R32.
But, if I had to choose between a 197 and an R32, i'd have the one with that gorgeous sounding V6! Lovely interior too, quality car. :approve:
No way is a Trophy a backward step from the 197. If you're after a car for blasting around challenging roads theirs nothing much than can compare with the Trophy's pace, especially for what £7k now? It's such a different car to a 182/182 Cup, the Sachs dampers totally transform it.
The 197 has...
Oh definitely the Megane would cope the best as an everyday prospect out of the two, but if I had to choose between them based solely on track use the Caterham would be the more fun. Considerably slower as shown last night, but it looked a brilliant thing to drive and the noise was great!
The...
That Caterham looked such a laugh though didn't it!? I know it was a lot slower, but I'd still choose that as my track day toy over the R26R. Couldn't believe how well the Megane coped with the conditions though, effortless pace. I'd of thought it would of been a right handful in the wet.
That black vinyl strip on that Inferno Cup's bumper looks brilliant! Totally transforms the look of it from the front, very mean looking. Would look good on the Trophy too!
I just love Supra's! Why though, do 99% of them have horrible alloys!? My mates Dad has a silver twin-turbo running 600bhp+, unbelievably fast and such a good noise but his too has terrible alloys!
Gutted mate, one of the best cars on here aswell. :(
I suppose an RS would soften the blow, but your rep had something about it. Gorgeous car it really was.
Autocar tested the Trophy 0-60 and it got 6.3. As said though, their isn't hardly any difference between 'em at all really. Although saying that, I could swear mine feels even quicker than that!
It was a great read this month. High praise for the Trophy as ever which is always nice to read!
'Has the small car/big engine/giant personality thing ever been done better? I don't think so. This, the last of the old-school over-engined naturally aspirated hatches, is Renault's perfect...
Spotted an Illiad veeeeee at about 4pm in Wakefield near the city center, xenons blazing and looking gorgeous!
Anyones? First one I've seen in Wakey for a few years at least, makes me want one even more!
Great turnaround, saw this on Detailing World I think aswell? Such a gorgeous colour is RB!
I'm wanting one of those Drivers Republic stickers too, can you buy them off the website? Thanks.
