Titanium looks great with Turinis! Always found anthracite to be a nightmare to keep clean on my old Trophy though.
Off topic, but do you do custom stickers? I'm after some mini tri-colour stickers for the Rallye.
Completely agree. I absolutely loved the one I went in and was astounded by its point-to-point pace, but the noise was a real let down. Still not keen on them from the back, but head on it's a gorgeous car. The photos in glossy magazines don't do them justice really.
Saw an Evoque today in...
Looks great. I still think they're the greatest hot hatch ever made, and that's after driving an EK9, new Focus RS, and an R26R at length. Nothing feels like a Trophy does on a great road.
I'm studying Journalism so it's something I'd like to pursue further, yeah. It started as a uni project but it's opened up a few doors in the industry, so it's given me a few good contacts which means I get to drive a few nice cars every now and then. With my course, it's natural to write about...
Indeed. It's quite funny reading these kind of posts when someone gets all high and mighty about grammar and punctuation, only then to make a mistake in their response. You do realise that an apostrophe's not required there, right? Practice what you preach! :p
Anyway, the car... It looked...
That's refreshing to hear. I've read so many projects on here where the owner gets the car how they want it, then they split the parts and sell! Crazy. Looks great, it's certainly come a long way since I spotted it in Huddersfield ages ago!
They're great, such a confidence inspiring car. Nothing much flusters it. They're fast as standard but a simple remap makes them come alive, mine was all over the back of a Z4M not so long ago from third gear. Great steering, damped really well, and fast on every type of road.
I'd recommend a...
The amount you see on a day-to-day basis is crazy! They're an incredibly successful car given their price, and I reckon it's a certainty that the Evoque will follow too. It's cool because it's similar to its original concept as well, and that's got to be a rare thing in the industry!
Brightly painted Renault diamonds! They're so cheap and tacky, especially when they're painted in something that's totally irrelevant to the rest of the car's colour scheme.
Same with mine, they're great. I bet yours is absolutely rapid running that power though, my S2 is standard and even that's far from slow. With 60% or so more power and even less weight I bet it's crazy!
Thanks! It's immaculate really, it's got just over 124,000 miles on it too! Read about it here: http://joshtimlin.blogspot.com/
Gally, it's an RS5. There'll be a feature on it this month, if I remember correctly they're doing a 'USA vs Germany' style shoot-out at Bruntingthorpe, with the Boss...
Seems like they're popular cars on here, so I thought I'd upload a few photos of the little Rallye. It's a bit of a garage queen this one, always kept indoors away from the elements and only rolled out of its garage if the roads are dry! It's completely standard under the bonnet, but there's a...
Are they strict on the mileage allowance? I think the price is quite reasonable if you're halving the cost with a mate. It's truly a life changing car to witness under full acceleration. I went in one for an afternoon not so long back and the attention it attracted was crazy, definitely a must...
It's not an RS, it just has the RS decals.

Bit disappointing that, as it's hardly a bad thing having a GT3 in the best colour ever made and with a great spec as well! Adding the RS decals cheapens it in my opinion.
Do I spy an Orbisoud exhaust there? Perfect Trophy, xenons should have been fitted from the factory, they really do make a massive difference looks wise.

Anybody noticed this on Pistonheads? Seems awfully cheap for what it is, even with 90k miles. Sure I recognise the registration plate from photos on here, was it Guppy's car? Pretty sure it had a feature in Redline, too. Looks great!
Miss mine so much, I'm always browsing on Pistonheads looking at them! You'd think that I'd have had enough of it after 30,000+ miles but nope, I still would have another in a heartbeat! You won't be disappointed, they're amazing.
I don't drive a Clio any more, but I take your point. But when I did have my 182 Trophy, that used to be incredibly close with a 20v turbo that my friend used to own. There was hardly anything in it up to 60 or so, the Coupe just pulled slightly above those speeds and when in gear which is...
And you're still maintaining it's faster than a 172!? The Clio can't have been trying, the 20v turbo one would be close but the others in the range are woefully slow. So, less power than the Clio, and it weighs more, but yet they're still faster? Hmm.
They look brilliant! What are they like to drive? Always get the impression that they'd be fantastic to drive too in a back-to-basics way, sort of like a modern day 106 Rallye or something! Would love a go in one.
