Yeah I thought that was her username. Well it didn't have a price on it, but knowing that particular dealer I think £5.5k would be about right! Those wheels look great on Monaco Blue.
It was for sale, but it also had a CS sticker and the obligatory mods of Turini's and silver-visions! Anybody's on here? Thought someone might have traded it in for a 200 or something.
Coming along nicely! Out of interest, do you get a lot of attention from the police with regards to the front registration plate? I've always toyed with the idea of taking mine off for some reason! Think it was Christopher on here who posted a photo of his Racing Blue without a plate on, and it...
I never got to the stage that I disliked my Trophy when I had it, even after three years of ownership. Such a great car, every single time I drove it it never failed to put a smile on my face. Great looking car, more than enough straight line pace to keep me happy as it felt like a very strong...
Crashed three times, but who cares it was worth it!
Absolutely brilliant read, and the car looks amazing. It's the attention to detail and the no expense spared ethos of the project that is a credit to you. Unfortunately it makes me want an EK9 even more though! What are they like to drive? As...
Finally someone who's bought one with the perfect specification! Kinda makes the R26/225 shape look dated now, which is crazy considering how futuristic and different they once looked! Lovely looking car, just can't seem to love them as much as the Focus RS though.
Looks brilliant. Saw a white one earlier with black alloys beside me in traffic, same colour scheme as my R26! The arches on them look great. I'd love to have a drive in one to feel what they're like!
Think I recognise this car, black phase one with red F1's? Saw it earlier this evening at about 7pm on the motorway not too far from the city centre, looked low!
As above, a silver 182 with Turini's, and different bullets. Spotted near Asda at around 12pm yesterday, surely a CS member with the obligatory Turini's!? Looked brilliant though.
They're necessary though! Must've been over that road 15 times now but it's still daunting peering over the edge. Can't even see the bottom of the valley when driving on the road which makes it even worse! It's such a good day out up there, only problem is the hundreds of insects that get...
I was up there yesterday! The road from Hawes to the Ribblehead Viaduct is nigh on perfect. It's fast, flowing, definitely my favourite road in the Dales. Can't beat the Buttertubs Pass for scenery though!
As above really, but I had a similar sounding problem on my old 182 Trophy. It would rev normally to the limiter, but then as the drive went on it would deteriorate and only rev to around 5000rpm. It used to drive me mad when it happened. Turns out the problem was the fuel pump, and once that...
Re: One Year on & £**** spent
Had my R26 about 6 months now, it's white with gloss black alloys so it's not hard to miss, trying to blag a permit so I can park outside of the Students' Union but it's not looking promising!
Your registration plate rings a bell actually, although if I saw it...
Re: One Year on & £**** spent
Sounds and looks absolutely brilliant! One of my favourite cars on here, still not seen it around Huddersfield though! :dapprove:
I went up there last Sunday. Snow all over the place still even after not having had any fall for ages, although most of the roads were clear. I can imagine it being an absolute nightmare in the Yorkshire Dales when it's snowing heavily. Some of the views from that road were astounding though...
'Chewin' the Fat' and 'Still Game' are the two greatest programmes ever made! And that's coming from an Englishman!
The Z4M looks absolutely brilliant. You got it for a great price, too. Almost a bargain when you consider the power, looks, and prestige it possesses.
I do love 197's now, amazing how much they've grown on me since they first came out. One thing that this thread has highlighted though is the need for xenons! They look so much better with 'em. Tiny detail I know, but it'd actually be a deal breaker for me. :o
I think it is a big step up in performance. Maybe not a huge difference as standard, but a couple of hundred quid thrown at a re-map will give 260-270bhp, and ever since I had mine done it is properly, properly rapid.
Without question I preferred my Trophy on a typical English twisty country...
I went from a 182 Trophy to an R26. To be honest it's not as chuckable as the Clio was, but it excels in every other department.
It's a more grown up car, feels better made and is lazier with power everywhere instead of just having a frantic top end. Power gains are relatively cheap (£400 for...
Yep a CG Lock. Buy one, they make a massive difference. Really hold you in, and they're a great alternative to a harness without the drawbacks. Easy to fit, too. I swear by 'em now since I bought one a year or so ago!
I got mine done in gloss black on my old Trophy, too. Front grilles, fog surrounds, and the little strip on the rear bumper, looked brilliant and no more 'Back to Black' spray needed!
This morning at about 11.30 parked up near the centre. Private plate, Evo sticker. Anyone's on here? Looked brilliant! First one I've seen in ages and it made me miss mine! :dapprove:
'DazG' I think is his username had a stunning Arctic 182 on anthracite Turini's, have a look at that one it's one of the finest examples I've seen!
