I'd keep it forever personally. The mileage would put off a lot of people if you tried to sell it but look at it this way; 10 years down the line it'll have the classic, cult status and probably have average mileage and still be worth more than you paid! ;)
Brilliant cars, you'll love the...
Are you for real!? The lad has just got the bargain of the century for very little money, and you're moaning about f**king swirls!? How much would it be for a good paint correction, £200? Picky or what!
Love that plate! Always wonder how much these three/four digit plates are worth when I see them, there's a Range Rover round my way with something like '8 W', always think it's worth a lot! Also a Leon Cupra R with '1 ASW', pretty apt for CS!
Oh, nice Cup too!
Agreed, this is CS though so I'm not surprised.....
I wouldn't think of breaking it, if it's a genuine car I'd have it without a second thought for that price. If the gearbox has been replaced and the dampers have been refurbed, GET IT BOUGHT!
Buy it, track it, enjoy it. For £1900 (less...

Pretty sure that Stoddie's R27 has the same spoiler judging by those photos? Looks much better with it!
That spoiler on the R27 makes such a difference, much better! Should of been a standard item that one. Love the C4S, something about them, the back end is perfect!
Ribblehead viaduct? Brilliant road! Must've driven on there a hundred times in my old Clio Trophy, still yet to take the R26 up though.
Great photos. :)
As with every Trophy thread on CS, Warren speaks sense. Before I bought my Trophy, I had a lengthy test drive in a fully specced 182 and a 182 Cup. Great cars, and was about to commit to the fully specced Racing Blue one until I heard there was a Trophy in at a dealer up the road. Went there...
Yep they're common round Huddersfield! You at Uni there aswell? There's a nice red 197 with gloss black Speedline's in the multi-storey I park in everyday aswell. Everywhere these Clio's! Not seen any Megane's around since I swapped the Trophy for mine!
My Trophy used to cost me over £2500 at 18/19, the R26 is only a couple of quid cheaper if I remember right. Hate paying out for it, but it's gotta be done if you want anything decent at a young age unfortunately. :dapprove:
By the way, does anyone know if insurance decreases a lot when you're...
One of the cars to own before you die, in my opinion. My Dad used to have one from new, still one of the best sounding cars ever made too.
It sounds like yours has been loved, and can I just say how nice it is to see/read an advert that has been done properly! I'm amazed when browsing...
White 172, looked well and sounded brilliant today, right up until I saw it on a trailer with a smashed front end and roof. :( Must have rolled it, hope nobody was injured.
Also an Inferno 182 Cup, and a 172 Cup parked amongst the competing cars.
Always good to have family or a mate who is a mechanic isn't it! My close mate has done some right favours for me, I bought a Saxo VTR a few months back to run alongside the R26 as a weekend/track car and since I bought it he's dropped a 16v VTS engine in, throttle bodies, cams, exhaust...
Well done! When I had my Trophy, the warranty had just expired by about two weeks and the fuel pump went on it. Took it to a Renault dealer, they said to give customer services a call to explain the situation, then they took it in to the garage and it was fixed promptly! I was shocked after...
I've lost count the amount of times I've been stopped for mine! Had a 3/4 on the Trophy, now got a 3/4 on the R26 and an even smaller plate on my track car. Just a warning to take it off, although I was told it's a £30 fine and not £60? I always carry my normal size one in the car with me just...
An Orbisoud exhaust is needed! Pricey, but worth every penny.
Yeah, the ride around town is a bit hard but it seems to even itself out the faster you're going strangely. I'm sure the police would buy that excuse anyway if ever you're pulled! ;)
Anymore plans for it? I never had the urge to...
Really enjoyed reading that, it looks great with the xenons! I miss my Trophy so much, fantastic car. On a narrow, twisty road, it never failed to put a big smile on my face. Are you and your missus enjoying it?
They really do look brilliant when they're clean and shiney. Capsicum red with...
Lovely. Big fan of your car, small registration plates make such a difference to the look of a car! Only thing I hate about STi's are those f**king horrible wing mirrors, they look huge on them!
Yeah, I let my mate drive the Saxo while I was in my R26 and it pulled about two car lengths ahead to 70/80mph. Haven't tried them together once rolling, but TB's just seem to improve power and torque throughout the whole rev range, the noise is the thing I love about mine the most though...
