    Steering rack universal joint

Ball joints, driveshaft or top mounts. Took wheel off and the shaft moves inside the column, the bearing is right at the top behind the wheel. I had one from a breaker I had so it cost nothing!

    Steering rack universal joint

I had a knocking and wobbly steering wheel and it was the bearing in the column. New column unfortunately but it's a relatively easy job

Why will you use phone when maximum cost rises? It's still just as easy to use your card in your front pocket.

    Bye Bye Skoda, Hello GT86.

I find Toyo T1Rs and Yokohama Parada Spec 2 do the above, can be a great tyre when not pushing too much and they will go when you give it a little more

    Sticky Front Calipers

Does the big red one include the caliper carrier too then? I'm sure when I looked yesterday it didn't, only the actual caliper.

    Bye Bye Skoda, Hello GT86.

Can you not have someone mix up the car colour with A LOT of thinners to get a very clear coat red one the rear lights? Maybe try on a second hand set first!

    Sticky Front Calipers

Yea do not move freely, both greased up and made sure of no air lock. Ferodo DS2500 so no rattle pads and they have been filed so can rattle when cold. Is that for both sides or individual side? Worth getting a new slider kit too? Best way of cleaning out the pad carrier part? Doesn't...

    Sticky Front Calipers

Tried a search but wasn't much info. When brakes are applied they tend to stick on solid, we forced the caliper in and out a few times and can be pushed back in with ease do I'm guessing that's fine. Greased up the sliders and still doing it, they don't move freely though by hand, possibility...

Can i remove 182 oil filter without droppng oil

Well that was a silly thing to do wasn't it, should of just waited. If car has been sat for a few days or so you "shouldn't" loose much.

How much do Renault charge for can change

That has come down a lot! Dephaser used to be £250 odd on its own! Good luck turning up at Renault with your parts though, or any specialist, if that part fails then you've got no comeback!

How much do Renault charge for can change

You barely had enough money to have it done by a mate?! The parts including dephaser is £400+!

I think the fact parts have been butchered to fit motability parts would put people off, but it was never priced accordingly. A bit like buying an old automatic or a LHD drive car, will always be a lot cheaper, this was always priced high.

It had a Ph1 engine with cable throttle IIRC, then dual controls too I think, Fred did a report on it for one of its owners I think.
