the service you require is dependant on the mileage, and just changing a filter or two can't be construed as a 'service'. give me your current mileage and i'll pm you with the exact servicing requirements that renault has set out for your current service / mileage :)
phone around a few garages to find out if they have an injector cleaning machine, if so how much. we offer this service and it's 1 hours labour in regards to the price £40
this chaps a bit of a jack the lad and slightly annoys me with his accent + the inability to talk correctly. however, it appears he does know the law :) there are ways to deal with the police. it's just that most people don't know it, but at the end of the day the police are mostly good guys and...
uhhh that's just yours i think lol, martins done 43mpg average on a long motorway trip a few months ago. i can't even beat that on an eco drive in the GT ! :(
if it's the omex that offers launch control then yes it's a fairly good idea, but i don't see why you can't use your left and right foot to dump the clutch whilst you hold the revs at X :P
will this require programming, if so .. clip i'm guessing? will this have to be a dealership job, or can a renault specialist with clip do this easily enough. recommend one in the newcastle area?
he paid for my overtime yesterday out of his wages to correct it, that will certainly be the first and last time i let anyone work on my car. i'd have been a bit more forgiving if he had made a genuine mistake (even the best of us have made major **** ups) but the fact that he tried to hide it...
wasn't me who done it, one of the apprentices done it but everything's sorted now. managed to get it out, tapped a new thread out with the cylinder halfway up on the compression stroke and then inserted the timesert and blew out all of the swarf > compression tested and i'm happy with the...
you won't get all that for 40. the spark plugs on ECP (assuming you meant on ECP) is priced per plug, not for four even though the fitted quantity says 4. i'll never understand why motor factors sell one plug when you can get 3 from adam @ wolverhampton renault for cheaper than any motor factors...
cheers marc, the funny thing is i'm a renault trained mechanic i've just never faced a situation like this before. my thoughts were to just get the plug by sheer force, and then attempt to deal with the aftermath but i really need the experts advice. i know that there are lots of guys on here...
what's going to be the best solution? i've dealt with timeserts and helicoils before after blowouts, but i've never witnessed a cross threaded plug that's stuck solid in the spark plug hole!
thanks in advance guys
if i recall, he had a lot of problems with the rs tuner map. raeder motorsport / manthey racing / frikadelli racing is the place you want to contact with regards to doing a custom renault remap but i've messaged you on twingo133.net
sign upto twingo133.net and search for me ''oscar'', message me and say hello and i will direct you to one of the german members who will put you in contact with good renault tuners. you'll also find a huge selection of modifications you can do to your clio-tce in terms of engine modifications...
i also forgot to mention, yes you will need a remap for those fuel injectors to work. firstly you'll need to tell the ECU that it's got new injectors, then the fuelling will be set to take into account the new fuel injectors ; they will be able to inject more fuel than the old injectors, so...
theres loads of us twingo guys who've done the modified TCE thing, i'm currently at 136BHP...didn't use 172 injectors though because, well ... they aren't much of an upgrade. maybe take you to 125bhp before they're in the dangerous zone with duty cycles, you want bigger picco iwp(cant even...
wolverhampton renault as chi said, check the dealers section and message them. you will need a timing belt kit, aux belt kit & waterpump. it's good economy to change the waterpump as it's lifetime is usually 80k miles so you'd be paying another 300-400 odd pounds in 20k miles to do the waterpump...
we charge £289 for the TCE waterpump and timing belt kit + labour. it was an aftermarket kit, comprising of a valeo waterpump (cheap aftermarket crap eh? LOL) and the rest was gates. the labour is 3 hours!
