why don't you pm adam @ renault wolverhampton on here? i'm fairly sure he'd be willing to help you out, plus you'll get it cheaper through him poster than you will at a renault dealership. also, why not count the wires on your old one ....
it's just another case of ALL insurance companies being crooks and general ring pieces i suppose. shame to hear that though rev, the dci clio's are awesome little daily's
personally, i think that any self respecting mechanic can do this job. it's the bread and butter of the trade, but it's genuinely scary to see how 98% of mechanics in the trade believe that they are the be all and end all all things automotive. we work on workshop manuals from the manufacturer...
no need to get so angry dude. have you seen the amount of threads that pop up every 5 minutes on here? it's usually close to an entire pages worth! you are only inviting a bunch of people to wind you up even more. go out and get your hole (Y) cheer up man :) it's only the internet.
yeah that'll be fine. one of the guys i work with has the same car as yours and he runs 185 / 65 / 14 with no problems, especially with 4 people in the car. no rubbing
yeah it's a boy that works in tesco, i can't remember his name. he's always parked pretty close to a blue scoob sti which is gorgeous. if you see a blue twingo with takata green wheels, hello!
on a 182 it's apart of the fuel pump, on 172 phase 1's from memory (its been a while!) they aren't in the fuel pump pump, they are in the usual fuel filter location after the fuel pump and phase two's are in the same location as 182's i believe. the 182 fuel filter is the trickier one to change
dave i'd have a look at your fuel filter it may be blocked and the fuel pressure to tick that off the list. curious to know if you can get the car past 1-2k revs? is that the maximum it'll do with this missfire? throttle positioning sensor could be another probable cause dave
i put subaru impreza gc8 import seats into my twingo, i'm sure that recaro supplies the oem seats for subaru or at least once did. i remember a subaru tech telling me this but he may have been playing with me, either way they're comfy as anything and for £3.60 or so and needing reupholstered...
probably should point out chi that the OP asked for recommendations for places in stoke. i read the post fully and stated that i'm not from stoke, or anywhere near stoke but also pointed out that somerset and leeds isn't anywhere near stoke either. it would however be nice if someone could point...
dan is in somerset ; nowhere near stoke. leeds is also a treck. the boy asked for somewhere near to stoke. i personally cannot answer your question dude because i don't live anywhere near stoke but some of the brown nose replies you've had is just ridiculous.
for testing the coils, you'll need a diagnostic machine that can show you live data or an old school oscilloscope to monitor the opening and closing of the injectors. you can also test for resistance of the injectors themselves to help diagnose a faulty one.
remove the fuse for the fuel pump OR disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector and then run the car until the car cuts out. this will remove any residual fuel in the fuel line going from the pump to the injectors > remove the engine covers etc to get at the fuel rail and it's plain sailing...
ps, sorry for throwing this off subject slightly. sucks to hear about your bad luck, glad to see you've not paid for it yet. that's certainly the pot of gold at the end of your crap rainbow lol. don't let it put you off renault sport though :) there aren't many better cars out there trust me! i...
i could agree happily with what you just said, but i was more referring to the amount of people who go to renault themselves in terms of specialists and pay 700 thereabouts for the privilege. perhaps i should say dealers, instead of specialist although it's fair to say renault are specialists...
99% of mechanics know that timing tools are required, i have a tool box drawer full of labelled timing tools for vw engines, audi engines, merc engines, bmw engines so on so forth and all are genuine equipment. most other mechanics i know also have these tools, this is your bread and butter for...
what would a bmw trained mechanic with 30 + experience in the trade know about a cheap french car that encorporate a very basic variable valve timing set up eh? priceless.
a cloth and pressure from your finger with no chemicals other then good old H20 will remove all brake dust from all wheels. it's scary that nobody mentioned this. elbow grease didn't do anyone any harm!
why don't you just find out who manufactures the waterpumps for renault and go direct? save yourself a tidy sum in the process too no doubt, and you won't have to wait for renault to get the thumb out. i recently ordered one from renault for a 172 cup i done the aux and pump on last week and i...
its false economy to turn the light off. rectify the problem, or pay a good mechanic who knows renaults inside out to track down the reason why this light is coming on. ignoring it may lead to catastrophic failure and your 50 quid ebay code reader won't be too much of a cost cutting route at...
personally mate i say go for it. they've got to meet certain safety standards to conform to EU rules and regulations on wheel construction anyway. i'd put them on my car for sure, it's only looks you're going for not a badge. i could understand if you were putting them onto a really expensive...
