i would think its highly unlikely that the superchip caused the engine failiure, they do superchips where i work and they are very reliable and have been tested for a longer before put on the shelf. where abouts are you?
it must have taken alot of work to make sure the shaft was stable enough to run the supercharger, my plan was to put it at the fron tof the engine and run the alternator off the drive shaft abve the gearbox and put an electric waterpump on it.

the turbo would be good but the challenge of the supercharger sounds quite appealing :) it shouldnt cost as much as its a race car and theres a lot more room in the engine bay.

na i thinkin it wnt need a bulge as im hoping to slide it behind the radiator and either make or have made a copletely new inlet manifold, but then again a bulge mite look quite cool.:D
turbo would be good but as you all know its been done before so i wanted the chalenge of the blower, was thinkin bout putting one on my road car which has no air con but then id still have to move the alternater. so i think the plan is to do it on my race car and move the alternater so it runs...
i need some new fronts for my 172 cup, any one got any ideas mite go contis again? or toyos? or maybe michelins as i get a really good discount?
all opinions greatly received
