After over a year pretty much out of action (very expensive broken lens, and a complete loss of love for photography), I'm back in the game. My beast (Sigma 120-300) came back from Sigma earlier this week as good as new, so I made an unexpected trip to the Sunseeker around Bournemouth/Poole area...
Has anyone downloaded an album from iTunes directly on their iPad? I've bought two recently and even when viewing my album list on iPod it keeps every single track seperate. I bought an album last night and now have 63 seperate entries in my album list.
Oddly, transferring purchases on to my...
Re: iPad "Must Have" Apps
Awesome day to be an iPad owner...
Sim City Deluxe HD - 59p
+ World of Goo and Broken Sword The Smoking Mirror both released.
Stupid question part 2...if you buy a bunch of single tracks from an album, but then later use the 'complete album' feature, how do you merge the singles back into the album? I now have a 12 track album where the album itself only has 8 tracks, and the 4 singles remain completely seperate from it.
In iTunes on the PC (I'm using v10), how do you actually get to the various categories? i.e. if I want to go to the App Store and view the Reference category, how do you actually get there?
At the moment I just select an appropriate App, and once you're on the App page it shows the links...
Seems to have come out today that Foxconn have been given a 100 day window to ship the second-gen iPad, so the rumoured Spring release seems likely.
Still tempted to pick one up in a few weeks though, 4 months wait or 4 months of iPad goodness..?!
A second stereo audio output would be superb, the success of djay (even at £12) suggests there are a huge number of people who would probably not think twice about upgrading if they included that feature. It would completely transform audio/music apps.
Really looking forward to this one, stayed at the very far North of Ibiza (gorgeous quiet area with loads of stunning twisty roads) many times and have explored much of the off the beaten track areas a lot, can't wait to visit it all again virtually before we go back again in August.
It will still sell 6 trillion copies...and be compared to Forza 3 despite the fact that came out over a year ago and was developed in 1/80th of the time.
I don't get the Porsche thing either, Forza 3 had plenty of them so obviously EA are willing to share the love (for cash)
Actually, the Veyron isn't a premium car ;)
Not sure if this has been mentioned but apparently you're not able to change the alloys on standard cars either. http://playstationlifestyle.net/2010/11/15/inability-to-change-wheels-on-standard-cars-in-gran-turismo-5-is-fairly-proposterous/
I've played with both plenty, aside from a few weeks when one of the updates was released and the 3G went stupidly slow, it's perfectly fine, been the best free phone on a £30 contract I've ever had. Upgrade not till July next year but I imagine the iPad will take over 75% of my iPhone use anyway.
Exactly. I should be getting one in a few weeks, loads of people have said 'why don't you just wait for iPad 2?', but surely they could just as easily say 'why don't you wait for iPad 3?' six months later! It's not as though Apple products ever drop significantly in price near the next launch...
To be fair, it does beg the question 'wtf have they been doing for all these years', the vast majority are upscaled GT4 cars, just look at the Renault list, no updates since the last game at all.
I can only presume they are looking at a huge DLC programme, as the Forza 3 collection of cars is...
Loving the +/- sector times, has transformed long races now I actually know where people are in relation to myself.
AI seems more realistic as well now, ie Rubens doesn't now always finish near the back, and Chandok doesn't always somehow end up in the top 10.
I've got one of these...

Incredibly well built, and the best bit is it folds down in seconds (with the wheel and pedals still attached) so it can be stored out of the way.
They are currently 'fibre-opticing' my area as I speak (switch on is 31st December), how does it work if you're a reasonable distance from a road though? From the looks of things they are just channelling it along the main pavements, so how does it get those last 50m+ or so to your actual house?
Awesome bit of kit.
The £350,000 F1 simulator opens in Weston-Super-Mare next week, will be interesting to see how it compares as apparently it's very similar to the ones used by the teams.
It's always worth phoning up and threatening to cancel if your peeved, my in-laws were on a bog standard SD package (Sport but not Movies) with the oldest Sky box I've ever seen, Sky recently called them to 'suggest' HD, they said no as they were thinking of cancelling Sky anyway...after a bit...
They're hoping to reveal what the patch will fix after this weekend (testing), so I'm guessing a couple weeks yet as it will have to go through MS first.
I finally got some rain, bit odd though. Quali at Hockenheim, no rain in Q1, heavy rain all through Q2, then Q3 had a 93% chance of rain so I presumed it would be extremely damp already with a high chance of rain...but nope, circuit was bone dry (not so good for my inters!), it did start raining...
The circuits make a huge difference to where you end up, the AI struggles at some circuits and seems insanely fast at others. Out of interest, when people say 'Hard' AI do they mean Professional or Legendary? With the full sim settings available (including cockpit, no lines, manual gears...
Istanbul is amazing, my favourite circuit of the career so far. The long sweeping corner midway through the lap is a joy to attack.
Glitches are becoming more common (or prominent), RandD unlockables are not unlocking despite smashing the lap times well within the limit, and at the last race...
Superb shots, In N Out Burger, mmmm, best burger I've ever eaten. Californians are obsessed with them, and I can't blame them.
Did you like Seligman? Of the 40 or so places we visited it was probably my favourite.
I'm feeling there are some odd AI balancing issues in Career, I just got destroyed at Catalunya, AI doing unachievably fast laps, even the backmarkers are two seconds quicker despite me putting in an hour of practice. Yet Shanghai I finished 13th with the same settings.
Played all evening with...
