Wax work model, it was a battle scene in one of the castle rooms, looked very realistic.
Yep, I don't tend to do any projects or anything these days, just pack the camera for trips/holidays and maybe the occasional Motorsport event. As I shoot less it's nice to have a camera/lenses that will...
Not as far as I'm aware, I've researched it a lot, mainly after editing a huge number of shots on my old iPad for a photobook then realising they were all too small to blow up to a decent size (they were all around 700kb - 1mb!), there are other things to think about as well, such as having...
Snapseed all day long, very powerful but easy to use. I have iPhoto on standby if I need to clone out a bit of dust from my sensor, but otherwise it's Snapseed for everything.
Best thing is the new iPad is now outputting nice big files, iPad 1 would barely reach 1MB per photo once processed...
A fair bit of vignetting at 17mm, especially wide open (see below), although by f8 it's not very noticeable.
17mm, f4, ISO 800 (one half of our B&B room when we arrived)
Yes :) Not as many as I would have liked though. Got a 3 week wait for the 'real' photos now, photographer was fantastic, I hate having my photo taken but he did a great job of flying through the group shots, the rest of the day/evening he just blended in and snapped away. Keep seeing him pop up...
Yup, the new lifeboat station is just to the right of it. The finish on the house looks stunning, I can't remember what they spent on it in the end but it looks amazing up close.
I've had my 5D for a little while now but it's been sat in my camera bag since I bought it as I've been flat out planning our wedding for ages (it happened on Saturday, awesome day :)), as the missus is a teacher we didn't have time to go away properly (honeymoon is in July), so headed off to...
172 Cup to Ph1 172 for me.
Prefer the Ph1 personally, can't really put my finger on exactly why, it just feels a bit more 'special'. Both were/are absolute peaches so it's not down to having particular issues with one or the other, but for me the Ph1 is a better looking car and has a nicer...
Lovely set. #1 isn't sharp enough for me personally, but that background blur is too good to miss out on. #5, 6 & 8 are stunners, brilliant composition and whilst obviously Brands they are unusual enough to make them stand out. #8 in particular really is excellent.
#11 is superb, the best...
I always wondered this until my last MOT, as my 172 shows a good 6-7mph out at 30mph (weirdly by the time you get to 70mph it's fairly accurate) compared to GPS and those 'this is your speed' signs they move around town.
Asked the tester...he doesn't even see it move doing a test anyway...
People are still playing Sim City 3000, 13 years after release. There isn't a chance in hell EA will keep the servers running for that long. As soon as they flick the switch the game becomes useless. Want to play it on the move (i.e. on a laptop on the train)? Forget about it.
The Administrators seem on the ball...
"Unfortunately, there was a lot of proximity between GAME and Gamestation stores, so one store was cannibalising the sales at the other store."
I'm assuming he has a Masters in Retail Management, with deep insight like that ;)
Had exactly this problem when we bought a PS3 a few weeks back, fired it up, the missus wanted to play Little Big Planet. 23 (TWENTY THREE) updates and 6hrs later the game finally came to life. No idea where the servers are (Tibet?) but it seemed to be running at the same speed as my AOL 56k...
Most things I can understand as they are fairly standard for stores in administration (gift vouchers no longer valid, no refunds, loyalty card credit voided etc) but not giving people back their pre-order deposits is harsh and will surely do the company far more harm than good if they ever come...
Unplugged mine at 6:30am this morning, left on all day, went on it an hour ago and it was on 100%. Been surfing the web for 30 minutes and it's on 98%. The percentage seems to decrease more evenly than the iPad 1, which would hang around near the higher end then drop off a cliff.
I'm on my 4th...
What you've got seems ok to me, the 10.5 Fisheye is the best lens I've ever taken to New York. The 18-105 should cover 99% of your needs without needing to mess around with swapping lens all the time.
A shoulder bag would be better in my opinion, I couldn't live without mine in New York.
The battery charging? Yes, although it makes perfect sense because they've had to add a much bigger battery to maintain the 10hr battery life despite the processor and screen using a lot more power.
I've only charged it from empty once, set it going at 11pm and it was still going when I woke up...
Photoshopping/editing is my worst enemy (mainly because I find it incredibly boring). That's why I always enjoyed motorsport photography more than any other area, 99% of the shot is down to skill and it's very difficult to create something from nothing or hide poor technique. Months and months...
