With the greatest respect, Dan hasn't done anything wrong by posting this here. As our data protection officer at work is always at pains to say, never send anything in an email that you wouldn't be comfortable to go public.
It's very common for photographers to post emails like this on forums...
Things like this get deleted straight out of my inbox, I'm sad to say.
I pursued quite a few similar 'offers' when I was putting a bit of effort into the selling lark about 5 years ago, 95% of things fell through or never materialised. In terms of emails from randoms that were not easily...
Re: PSP vita
1. Too expensive
2. Battery life poor (I'm used to 10+ hours with the iPad, 3-4hrs just isn't going to cut it)
3. Price of games
4. Loading times (40-50 seconds per track on Wipeout, apparently)
The 'console in a handheld' concept has never really worked, or at the very least has...
Worth looking at the size of different lens as well though, NEX lens are pretty much standard DSLR size, which may or may not completely negate the point of owning one for some people (such as myself, being a lens *****)
30 in a few weeks, it was the missus idea to buy another 172 (had one in my early twenties) as she said I may as well own something I really like again. No regrets, I don't see the point in owning something 'sensible looking' just because you're a bit older. They're fairly practical/safe cars as...
Insane, GTR vs. Swindon! I can't imagine that's an experience you would ever forget, incredible.
Without wishing to sound like a dullard, I'm very surprised PH have posted that vid, I understand it's actually pretty old as Dick Lovett had that for sale quite some time ago and it's now owned by...
Feb 2006, Trophy, anyone?!
March 2006, when Mk1s were still plentiful...
Haynes Museum, July 2006, started well...
but not without a few mishaps...
The South West lot will probably remember this beast from our Airfield days (August 2007)
May 2007, technically a Renaultsport day...
Dates have been confirmed for 2012...
April 28th (Spring Perfmormance)
June 9th (Classic and Sports Car)
September 8th (Forge Motorsport)
Last year the Classic and Sports Car Action Day (June) was really, really quiet. Good if you want plenty of track time without too much traffic, and as it's...
Good examples of just about everything mentioned so far in my work car park (a College), spotted 4 cars in a row with a Smurf hanging from the tow-eye last week, awesome! Headlight lashes are easily the most amusing, but really badly done sticker bombing comes a close second (a car at work has a...
Stunning shots, #11 and #12, love the composition and colours in both.
Having shot the Tour of Epynt last year I have huge respect for rally photographers, so much walking and researching positions.
Doesn't sound quite as nice as it looks, got that lovely diesel-y sound going on, so an expensive trip to the garage awaits at some point in the near future. Can't complain given what I paid for it though.
A few from a lovely 7:30am drive around Wiltshire this morning. Just over 6 months of ownership now and still loving it, looks as good as new after a clean.
Reading about that this morning, sounds interesting and 3 bright primes at launch has me thinking they are taking it pretty seriously.

I'm in two minds about this. I've personally found that when I introduce money into the mix that my interest/passion quickly deteriorates. At the same time, if somebody would really like my photos (be it a racing driver, charity, blog etc) I'm not going to keep them to myself just because I...
ISO 204,800...night vision camera?! Will be interesting to hear how far it can comfortably be pushed through the range, I'm guessing a very very long way before results are becoming unusable as it's their main usp over Canon.
Pretty even I think, I really like both of them. If it wasn't for motorsport I could probably live without the G3 (although the swivel LCD was pretty useful)
I would go with the Oly if I had to have one.
Two Micro Four Thirds bodies for me...
Panasonic G3 with the Olympus 45mm 1.8
Olympus E-PL2 with a Panasonic 14mm 2.5 or Samyang 7.5mm Fisheye
Over the moon with them, I never missed a DSLR at all, which surprised me a bit.
I sold my D90 and Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR on eBay this year (over £1500 worth of stuff) but you need to be really careful. When setting it up I used the bidder options to block anyone with low feedback, with non paying notices, anyone without Paypal etc, basically doing my best to only receive bids...
I would stick with the body and invest any photography funds in lens. A new body won't make a great deal of difference, but a decent lens can potentially have a huge impact and will hold a fairly strong value if you need to let it go or want to upgrade.
I'm not clear on what you're saying, is it that they don't work when you plug the card directly into your PC (i.e. a built in card reader)?
The SD format has changed over time, SDHC, SDXC etc, so it may be that your reader isn't accepting newer cards. If they are transferring from the camera...
Sounds like a good price, my folks are looking to go in Jan and they're looking at £1100 for the two of them for 4 nights in the New Yorker and flights. Always wanted to stay there but have never been able to afford it considering we go pretty much every year. We usually go in Feb for 5 nights...
£1300 for the two of us, that was 5 nights in the Hotel Pennsylvania and flights with Delta. We've stayed in the Penn every time but I wouldn't recommend it to others (check out TripAdvisor for a good laugh), superb location opposite Penn Station/MSG but some of the rooms are pretty iffy. We're...
Trip number 6 (I think), last year we managed to get stuck on the runway in the snow and never made it, so we booked the exact same dates etc for this year. Bit of good fortune really, as the weather was superb, the missus worked out we've spent over 30 days in NYC and had 25 completely clear...
Just got back, 1500 to go through but it caught my eye when saving them. The rest will probably sit on my hard drive until Tuesday now, very annoying as I want to find the time to edit them sooner!
New York City yesterday, pleased with this one as it's a bit different from the shots I've taken on previous trips. Super detail from the little Oly PEN.
