    Aux belt tool for tensioner

I had exactly the same issue on mine last year. 3/8 sump plug on a breaker bar did the trick, but it was tight and not ideal.

Best coilovers for comfort vs cup setup 172

Bilstein B14 is as good as you'll get as as all rounder. Saying that though, i still prefer standard shocks and Prolines.

Should I worry about intake manifold oil?

    Nope, nothing to worry about.

    Engine Removal

Yep, it pretty much is. Agree with the comments re: bolts. Always better to know where they've come from. If not, just post pics up on here of the bolt. Plenty of people here will be able to help

Top 3 tyres for best grip in cold/wet conditions

Why bother? Michelins are so well priced and able that I won't try anything else. Had a set of Eagle F1s before and they were very soft

    Project: Nick Frost 172

Good work, although I wouldn't bother chasing every ounce. Spend the time and effort on searching for bargain parts tbh. 5kgs isn't going to make much difference.. Finding cheap coil overs, tyres etc is. ;)

Are 172 ph2 rear brakes and pads same as 106 gti?

Yep, GTi-6 / Rallye front pads are the same as a Clio 1*2 front. Rear calipers and pads from a 1*2 are the same as a 106 GTi, Saxo VTS. Can't remember about a 306 or not - will check mine tonight and have a look.

    fitting a door guide

Hi. Yeah, doors are a bit of a fiddly one- mainly because of the weight of them. It's as simple as it looks really - you just need the right hammer and punch to fit and the pin just taps out. From there, get someone to be holding the weight of the door- make sure they hold it level. Fitting -...
