I did mine adjustment whilst watching k-tecs setup video following all his steps to the T. It's on YouTube on their channel if anybody needs it. They should make a video on how to setup the software and connecting the laptop to the ecu. Took longer to do that then to actually do the work. Mine...
Oh sorry I forget to post pictures.
So I thought I would have a tinker over the weekend.
Took the filter off and the trumpets and backing plate to get the all the adjusting screw and to get the syncrometer to sit tight. I then plugged the laptop in to see if it would even work, and it did...
I'll see of they close up more before I adjust and then start from a base figure. Just didn't know if there was a magic figure on idle. Probs set it at 1000rpm for idle from 850rpm so it start easier
Not had chance to get computer rigged up yet. I need a higher idle anyway as there is no cold start anymore and a pig to start cold, this can be adjusted from the gen90 via the software?
I thought the Ktr bodies were made by jenvey?
Same setup as theirs with the central Allan bolt and lock off...
So bought a car with Jenvey bodies and Ktr gen90 ecu. It runs like a sack of s#!t. I've done the coil pack and plugs. It's got all new racing HT leads.
The spray pattern on the injectors looks all pretty even. So.... I bought a syncrometer to see that the bodies were set at after watching Ktr...
could it be due to the blanking off of one port ? Is it putting 50% through your front left and then 25% to front right and 25% to the rears pipe. I would have plumbed both rear ports into a T-peice and then run a single line through the car
Ah ok so there is a proper difference. Right I'll measure bolt holes when I put new CL5 pads n brembo disks in. It's on gaz golds I think aswell so they are better than cup shocks
So bought a 182 and sold the 172 cup as the 182 is on jenvey with gen90 ecu and loads of other toys fitted.
But.... Is it cup packed?
Can you tell from the Vin number?
I've read the cup packs are 20mm wider track at the front and 10mm at the back.
Is that wider than a normal 182 or than a 172...
Yes you can use the Origional MC.
Single pipe to a T-peice and then one line to each front brake caliper. Single line through the car to a driver controlled bias valve inside and the T-peice at the rear axle to each rear caliper.
The Speedo is still a work in progress Iv not got to the bottom...
Just done some eBay research.
The cup none abs MC is a 4 port one. One pipe to each corner.
The 172/182 abs MC is a 2 port one. 2 pipes go into the abs unit and 4 pipes come out.
So I personally will be getting a cup MC for my track car. The 2 fronts will have their own pipes and the rears I...
If it' a road going car for mot your supposed to have a diagonal split.
I.e. one port powers front left and rear right.
One powers front right and rear left and the rear compensator sorts the bias front to rear and as the rear suspension moves up and down it opens and closes the valves for...
So I've just sold my 172cup which had no abs and I want to make the 182 with the same bias valve setup as the 172.
My question to the crowd:
Do I need a 172cup master cylinder or can I run the 182 master cylinder? Are they the same? The Speedo runs off the abs aswell so will the speedo not...
