Are they d2s projectors? If so get osram cbi bulbs they're expensive but they're the brightest 5000k bulbs and the ones my pictures show
They're amazing
Ah well these are the worst/cheapest projectors because they had to be really short even then they hit the back of the lids
I imagine with the mk2.5 you could go with something fairly large and well performing
Like I've seen a mk2 with an s2000 projector and the high beam retrofitted
Oh yes lots of "fun" @Goodj and as @alistairolsen said they have direct fit which is what these where, but somehow I got my measurements wrong
That's not going to seal back together  so as I knew I had some cutting to do I decided to find some fully plastic headlights as my metal ones...
It uses a proper oem d2s bulb but it is one of the cheapest and smallest projectors available without going into ebay projectors
I reckon the phase one headlights could quite easily accommodate the nicest largest bi xenons

Rice doesn't "suck" moisture out of things it just adsorbs moisture out of the air so it would be just as affective to keep it well ventilated with something like a lamp above to dry it
Are your headlights clouded at all?
I've just gone for some clear halogen wipacs and osram nightbreaker unlimited on my mx5 and the light output is ridiculous now the high beam is so nice and white as well.
So with the price of nightbreakers I'd try that and if it's really not good enough then...
I'm not talking about getting headlights from a sport and putting them in them a non xenon car.
I'm talking about websites like this http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ and forums like http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum.php where you can buy and learn how to retrofit projectors/bi-xenons/HIDS...
I managed to fix it I had disconnected one of the earths or shorted one of the wires for the dash I imagine if you've got a roll cage going through it that might have done the same
I've tried to remove three and failed twice. The third time I stripped the bolt and had to cut the head off. It's possible to find the bolt under the car and spray it with wd40. Then the only way I got it to move was with a star key socket attachment and extender and then the biggest ring...
