Fitted the RS sill trims just now from a member on here. Bargain price and really good condition so top job.
Really must stop using my iPhone, pictures are absolute shite!
Also grabbed a picture of the light dispersion from my new number plate cluster, much brighter!
Can't wait for...
There is a grommit under the glovebox in the firewall, I just stabbed a hole in it and fed my amp wire through. (with a lot of swearing)
Can't remember roughly how big it was though.
Was thinking that but then decided I wanted them to turn on when the car was unlocked, centre light turned on etc. Tempted to wire them up on a switch that allows them to come on with the other light, and independently. Just like standard lights!
I'll probably jump off the interior light again then! Least then it'll turn off and on when the main light does :)
Just gotta route the wiring through the headlining! Cheers chaps
I've decided the rear of the car is far too dark since it has no interior light, coupled with the tinted windows. Had an idea of hiding some white LED strips but where's a suitable place to splice into the lighting circuit? Already added some footwell lights but they're jumping off the main...
Chap gave me a box of bulbs when I bought the car, and there was an LED one in the reverse/numberplate light shape. Chucked it in and it was okay but not brilliant, hopefully the non hazed cluster will let it disperse light better :)
New number plate light cluster arrived this morning, so chucked that on. Strange how the little things can make a big difference! My old cluster wasn't that yellowed in comparison to most, but still made a huge difference. Sorry for the picture whoring!
17's 99.9% of the time are a no go, however I did see a 1.2 a little while ago rolling on 17" TD 1.2's. Looked the dog's danglies. Will have to find the picture!
New year, new bits.
Ordered some RS sill covers from a chap on here, so they should be here soon. Nothing special but they'll smarten the car up a bit! Also got a bee-sting aerial on the way, it's the little bits ;)
But more importantly I'll hopefully be grabbing a full RS interior in the next...
Ordered some white external CS stickers to go on the bonnet and middle rear window! So those should be here soon :)
Also undecided: car's currently got clean plastic plates all round, no dealer marks or anything. Should I get a 3/4 plate for the front, or pressed plates all round?!
Need some steels to roll on whilst I refurb my alloys, mate of mine's got a set of steels from his Lupo he's gonna lend me.
They're both 4x100 PCD, and roughly the same offset. Only problem is a Clio's centre bore is 60 and a Lupo's is 57, will the 3mm make a difference? If the Lupos wheels...
Decided on lowering springs over coilovers for value etc. So gonna start building up a kit!
So far I've ordered new front shocks for no other reason than shiney new parts ;) and I'm looking at 60/40mm springs so don't wanna strain the standard shocks.
Cheapo cheapo...
Was walking my dog in the village tonight and had a lovely blue RS Clio go past, what I assume was a 197 on a private plate like BIIRTT.
Anyone on here?
Nah wasn't too bad tbh. Has three torx screws, can't remember the size, mine were a wee bit stubborn but with a bit of persuasion they came loose. Straight bolt off bolt on job!
Same exhaust as mine and the same problem I had a few weeks ago with the backbox hanger. I bought a new one from GSF and chucked it on, then undid the clamps holding the backbox to the centre section. Then lying on my right side under the car, used my left knee to twist the backbox round so the...
