Not much to update with. Secured a part time job with Homebase so moola should start coming in = more mods :D
Does however mean I have so little spare time between Sixth Form and work, but hopefully updates should be rolling in once I start earning!
Haha funnily enough I tried the long screwdriver approach, didn't seem to make much difference. Somehow result in slicing my finger and blood going everywhere haha
I think what's causing it is the wiring for the central locking/hazards/demister buttons. It isn't long enough to sit to the side of the stereo so it has to sit behind, and pushing the stereo any further back pushes the wiring back. And then disconnects the plugs
All fixed. Blown 5 amp stereo fuse was the cause, bloody lunacy that something that irrelevant and tiny had the ability to stop the whole car. All sorted now though :)
Stereo is fitted, don't currently have any pictures of it though. Doesn't quite fully sit back in the dash but it looks okay...
Fixed before I read your replies chaps, but yeah thats exactly what it was. Cheers though! Why a fuse that small has the ability to stop the whole car is crazy
Done that, but with everything in position, the looms not long enough to reach the stereo. So I can't feed the wires into place and then plug it in, fingers aren't girly enough..
Why Renault decided to allow such a small amount of space for the headunit is beyond me... Sick of trying to feed wires into recesses behind the cage. So that was a total failure. Anyone got any tips or advice?
Also got my driving test on the 23rd October, hopefully freedom will begin then! ;)
Same old chestnut, new stereo has a tonne of inputs and I'm struggling to feed them all out the way behind the stereo, enough so to push it back far enough to lock. What's the best way to get behind the stereo to feed wires into recesses? Getting frustrating now!
Cheers chaps
Fitted some footwell LEDs as per the guide on here, coming on with the interior light. Pretty nifty and not bad for about £8 :)
Also got my new stereo through on Tuesday but a combination of GTA V and the fact it needs an ISO connector soldering on, it's on hold haha.
Doesn't specify on the eBay listing whether they're genuine Citroen or not. Didn't think to check...
Tried adjusting with a sewing needle but nothing budged, so heading towards going back to normal jets...
Will try the pin adjustment thing. As with replacement, it was from a guy who'd bought them as spares and never used them, for the sake of £2 I can't justify the hassle haha
You sure? The standard jets sprayed fine distance wise, if anything they fired too far. Only replaced them cause the coverage was crap an preferred the mist style
As above, just chucked them on and they're covering the bottom of the wiper blade. Do these need to be adjusted or tilted? Or are they just crap? Haha any answers would be helpful!
Chucked on my C4 mist style washer jets, but they're aiming so low they're covering the bottom of the wiper blade. Can they be adjusted or are they the wrong ones?
Absolute cack mate. Came with the car in a box of bulbs and it's shocking in all honesty. Will be replaced by some Cree jobbies at some point, but £12 for some reversing bulbs is excessive right now!
Don't have the crossovers unfortunately mate, came preinstalled and the guy gave me the box...
Thanks dude! Like how you posted that bang on midnight on my birthday ;) cheers!
It's a punishment to have to wait haha, I hated every second. So good to be that age now! Cheers :)
Nice one dude :) Campus rear end being the one with the numberplate in the bumper? and cheers! :)
Chrome...
Yeah they are unbelievably expensive for what they are. Fortunately mine came with it already on plus the original in the boot, win win.
If mine didn't already have alloys on I'd probably go with the 172's alloys. Always look smart on the pearl black Clio's!
Nice base dude! Just incase you want to see what yours would look like with an RS grille, here's mine
Will keep an eye on this! Hopefully give me some ideas :)
Ordered some chrome coated indicator bulbs, not silvervisions cause I couldn't justify quite that much! Also some new LED sidelights since the current ones are yellow and original and not maaad. Don't match the HIDs at all!
Also found my driver's window would only go down about half way...
