Haha, is yours an S14? I might have to try one at some point, the S13 is surprisingly grippy and composed on b-roads and is still a lot of fun, its only when you want to get the back end out that it'll go, although the bigger turbo and stupid lag at the moment has challenged that theory last...
Can we use diagrams or something this year? Last year when trying to explain it I got a lot of blank looks, and then a few 'upset' looks when I told people they had parked on the wrong stand :o
I'm still aiming to hotel but its unlikely as I've still not booked one haha. Its looking more and more likely that I'll be going on Sunday although I think I might be taking my dads car now instead of my clio :( Any-one offering a lift? ;)
Did it not have instructions with it? When I got mine I'm sure it said something about using vac hoses to the actuator replacing the actuator arm, however it didn't seem right to me and was a while back, the controller is still in the garage somewhere.
Also, its nice that I'm not the only one...
Maybe, but buying the insurance and paying monthly is finance. If you can buy a car and insurance outright then that imo is much better than buying a lower insurance group car for more money then buying insurance on finance. Once its paid for its done, no need to worry over the next 12 months...
I have minstrels, you'll have to deliver the car for a handjob aswell though ;)
Look at this way, by the time your done you will have replaced everything so there wont be anything left to go wrong!
Whichever option that means that you aren't paying anything out on finance would be the right choice imo. Paying £2k+ is a lot on insurance, but its still more sensible than taking the option that involves finance for the sake of having a lower out and out insurance premium. I paid £2.2k on my...
I was gonna say I hope your ready for some camber when you fit coilies ;) Its coming along well mate and I hope to see it at some NW meets aswell, I might even try and get my superior 200SX up and running to bring along too haha
I had the highsports on my old 1.2 and thought they were quite good, they were comfy and seemed well made for the price. They dont have much in the way of adjustment beyond ride height but as I dont know what I'm doing with suspension set up it suited me perfectly. I intend to get them for my...
Sorry guys I think I'm out, I'm on a fancy dress pub crawl the day before/through the day so the chances are I'll be in no fit state to get myself there heh
The HX35 from a quick look has 1.05ar though :S It'd have a lot of lag aswell wouldn't it, reading its equivalent to a GT35R!
Can you explain how ar numbers work dude?
I had a feeling the one your running would be too big for a CA if it comes off of a truck :D but Im sure the same supplier could do a more appropriate turbo without costing the £650+ for a decent turbo on the S13. I'm still just learning about turbo's, I just about understand how they work in...
I've been trying to kill mine for 2 years, all that ever goes is the f**king turbos! How much was the truck turbo malice? it'll be too big to be usable on the CA I'm sure but would be worth a look for next time haha
check the pistons on the calipers, every time I've had a sticky caliper its because the rubber boot on the piston has split. When I took mine to NWPerformance they replaced the discs and pads then wound the piston back in. I think mine are binding again but sometimes it'll sort it.
Me too, but only a little bit. Some people on here are going to have to hang their heads in shame with their fathers about and admit they just dont know as much about truck driving as an actual truck driver, bad times
