Dont think that was me to be fair, but yes i use it on my own car.
Sprayed up various mirrors and side mouldings using halfords mixed stuff and its a perfect match (although i do mix it myself)
As far as lacquer goes, we do it in 300ml tins for £5.99. That will be enough for 2 mirrors...
Spray tins are now £13.99.
The paint should be an exact match. We use the palini system which has a database of renault's own codes and a weighted formula to match, so its not just a guess or a match of a generic colour, it goes from the code itself. Its all down ot who mixes it really. Most...
halfords.
It will need to be mixed as its not a stocked colour.
A 100ml touch up pot is £9.99, if you want some in a pen with a finer brush and 'nib' head its an extra £3.
You'll need to give them the colour code which is 647.
Certainly wouldnt rent my own car out, but its a very clever idea for families with a car they use infrequently and people wanting some local transport on the cheap.
Good idea all round imo.
Just a quick one - looking at the gearbox, and the positioning of the drain plug and the filler cap (the butterfly plug) on the side of the box, it doesnt look like there will be anywhere near enough room for the 3.1 litres autodata tells me the JC5 needs.
Does this have to be done with the car...
Had to have my cups centre bored out for exactly the same reason - vw fitment is 57.1 whereas clios are 60.1
From memory cost £20 for the set. Fit was absolutely perfect.
As mentioned, tyres need to be removed beforehand
It seems shortshifters are something of an acquired taste.
Personally, ive fitted them to both my mk1 valver and my ph1 172. Again personally, id say its easily one of the best mods ive made, the short precise throw is such a joy compared to the sloppy standard affair. I absolutely love the...
Cant believe i missed this.
Some parts of it are a carbon copy of my road trip last year.
The views of the furka pass trigger so many memories - we turned left and did the grimselpass instead.
Loads of memories coming back from looking at those pictures.
Awesome stuff.
finally got round to trying to get rid of the serv and airbag light which have been on ever since i got the car.
have some 3.3ohm resistors, and had a look at the boosh's guide but its ph2 only.
This is what i have coming out from under the seats (on the car loom side of things) and so took to...
99% sure mine has no such thing
EDIT
Thinking about it mine has a pipe that pushes on in that place - cant remember where it goes to but i know its secure
Cheers for the suggestions Russ.
Aluco is coming over monday for a set of wheels so me and him can have a poke round then.
On that note, does anyone know if the ICV's on fbw 182s can be interchanged with my cable ph1?
Wheres this rubber grommet on the inlet you speak off Russ mate?
The bands solution is brilliant foxy, ill give that a try.
And yes russ, its definately the ICV breather i was holing my finger over - not a sausage happened when i jammed it shut.
