The cable is only about 12 months old. Ive even run a s**t load of oil down it to try and ease things up but it feels nice and free already.
I wonder if its something to do with the TPS?
Done that many times on the new and old t/b already im afraid mate.
Using carb cleaner along with brake and clutch cleaner. Then PTFE spray for lube, sealed in with Lithium grease.
Right this is getting annoying. The throttle on my ph1 has been sticking of late, slowly getting worse.
Managed to get hold of another t/b and after having fitted it, its even worse.
After some swearing, ive realised with the engine off its really quite smooth, its impossible to make it...
I found some 5amp female spade connectors which would have been perfect - just needed to find some wire to go with them and a connector. Then stumbled across the same connector with a nice length of wire already crimped on from my OMP hub kit.
Only had a terminal block available so used that...
Thanks for that Danny. i think thats half the problem, the wire is quite short so not only is the terminal not gripping hard enough, bumps and jolts are actually pulling it off.
Because the wire is so short it would be virtually impossible to get in and solder some more length onto it as far...
As above really. The exciter wire which is a simple spade connection with the starter, just keeps wriggling itself off the terminal on the starter.
Its getting really annoying. Thought id solved it recently by crimping the female lead in slightly so as to grip tighter onto the terminal, but...
Hello laz!
The 1.2s are staying for now, i need to decide which set im going to sell.
The cups were imported via German ebay a good few years back
Splitter is 5J0 807 061 9B9. About £12 from ym local skoda dealer. They will have to order it in though.
I'm using 15mm spacers on the front for clearance, and even then its so tight its unbelievable. You couldnt get a cats c**k hair between the two.
Hello mate, and cheers, yeh i was down that way briefly yesterday. There used to be an awesome spot for photos on the canal near saltaire but they...
Saw the video of the roof boxed lambo snarling its way through Times Square a few days ago. I had no idea they had started the rally in the UK this year.
Not everyone will be happy about this but the Cups came out of hiding a few days back.
They are a bit of a mess, and i really do like the 1.2's but the car just sits so perfect on these.
Also got hold of a fabia splitter and fitted that a week ago which has finished off the front end nicely...
Just cant believe if you were going to go that far, and risk that much financially (as anyone on the ring does) you wouldnt spend 30 minutes learning the track from one of the myriad of games that have it, or even a couple of YT videos.
Bad luck 'an all but its a brilliant advert for starting...
To be fair it started on the button at NW then got me 20 miles to the service station and i'd had the same problem about a year ago but thought it had gone away. Clearly not
Karting was epic btw. Brand spanking new karts. Monday was the first time they had ever been driven. Jam-jar face and...
Sorted it. Took a photo with the phone which revealed the concealed spade connector. Managed to tighten up the connector and then get it back on from underneath
I need help!
Just come back from NW Performance form having the belts changed and a service.
Driving home, stopped for a piss, got back in the car, turned the key and nothing.
Bumped it off and got home - on a quick inspection im pretty certain the starter exciter wire has completely come...
cheers again guys.
The wheels are actually Aluline cups. Im told they are much earlier than the ats 'copies' but the design differences are very subtle.
Insurance wise, most companies cover european driving, they just ask that you notify them before the trip. Of course, give your own insurer...
Some epic views in the sunshine thats for sure.
Thanks man, the innards of yours looks absolutely epic, throw some coilovers on and it will be sitting perfect outside too.
We should organise a mini meet for a run out when the weather gets more consistent.
Its one of my favourite routes, heading out of pool, past farnley, past menwith hill, summerbridge then onto pately bridge and eventually back to grassington
yeh to be fair i did just throw it on for the front plate one. In previous videos i had mounted it higher and it was a much better view. This time around i forgot where i had placed it before so threw it on right on the bottom of the bumper.
Im perfectly happy to accept its probably loosing me power, but i sure as hell cant feel it. If anything it 'feels' faster with it fitted instead of my itg & ph1 box setup due to the sheer noise and drama of the thing.
Its the old go-kart effect of telling your senses your going faster than...
as mentioned its going in friday for them to have a look at it, just depends how funny they will be about it being low and i think im going to have to pay £30 to transfer the warranty to my name.
