im in thackley - google earth it, its like 10 mins from the airport.
If you can get them strut tops loosened off its a piece of piss to do. just requires a couple of hours to actually get it done
You can do it on my driveway if you can get to bradford.
First thing you will need to do though i imagine is get the strut top nuts whizzed off by someone with an impact gun.
i bought a swan neck spanner specifically to do mine and i still couldnt get enough force on without rounding them off...
i got mine through ebay - a guy was selling off the HIDS4U kits at waaaaay below their retail on the site.
Id go to ebay and find the cheapest pair that come from the UK with 2 years warranty.
Thanks man, yeh its a stealth system but its made by longlife.
Piece of piss really. The kits are simply plug and play. Hardest part is finding a place for the ballasts to go.
To be honest mine isnt silly low.
Fair enough its as low as it will go on the back without taking the platforms out, but the front could go waayy lower.
Doesnt catch on much really - certain speed bumps are a no-no and i cant go up kerbs but day to day that doesnt cause an issue. Its driven...
Im pretty sure they are idential bar a lick of paint.
They are pretty firm so any road imperfections are felt but they arent terrible.
Still my favourite ever mod.
sorry man only just seen this!
Think i will have been on my way to the garage to get the car mot'd (which it failed spectacularly)
I was behind you in the 172 briefly off rodley roundabout a few weeks back. Looked well as always.
coilovers first. Always.
You can get a kit on ebay for as little as £40 but it will be made in a jungle clearing somewhere.
British kits with 2yr warrantys are only around £60.
Ooooh yes, this could be interesting. I may need to steal your airbox, as ive had to chop the breather pipe on mine to fit my hill power elbow.
If Paul has the time to do this, it could be seriously interesting
Got them through ebay boyo, a guy was selling them off as they were funny/rare sizes (HB3) but they were HIDS4U kits.
This is the kit:

6000k.
Have far too much time on my hands.
Think the old man had one many years back as a courtesy car. Said it was awful but you could tell he bloody loved it.
LOL @ sandpaper t**t!
Ignore the picture - its a cone to fit the standard box

Stop pissing and moaning about me not being able to get you a halfords filter and get an ITG jobbie. I want to see how they sound. If its not completely boring i may be tempted away from my simota.
Whats the guff in the box? I pod connector?
If you get the hang of that machine polisher your...
Starship.
Proton Wira (called the persona in the uk)
I'm going to go out on a limb and say its the 1.5 version which means 89 mighty bhp, and 126 Nm of toqrue.
Epic.
