I'll pop the graph up when i get chance.
i would throw the standard box back on but im a total ***** for the noise! i might have to go to rs tuning and do a back to back run with the standard box and simota.
Really appreciate the comments as always guys.
Hope to get a video of the exhaust/simota combo soon.
Really pleased with the work. The match is seamless, which was my big worry before getting it back.
Thanks man! I'm not really one for racing people but it certainly turns heads. Most...
Eisenmann race is now on. Sounds awesome, not too loud day-to-day either which I was worried about.
Also took the car down to Evolve in Luton for a remap. Happy with the results, gained a good 11bhp in most of the rev range above 5k with similar gains in torque. The car now feels even...
I'm incredibly happy with the bodywork/paintwork. All the gaps are **** on, and the paint is a dead-on match. I only realised they hadn't also painted the bonnet when I found some old stone chips still evident, the match from the bonnet/boot to the wings and doors is seamless.
The wheels...
I'm not sure the point is that they've got 200bhp/ton.
Its that they have got that power from an engine that can then deliver 50+mpg with very minor changes. Find me an FQ400 or boosted golf that can do that.
Very impressive.
Its reasonably clear from the speed of the accident that its all just bodywork damage and nothing serious so that doesnt bother me at all.
It took me 4 months to find this car and i personally dont think there is anything else out there for the same money that turns as many heads or feels as...
Just had word that the M is not being written off.
Apparently the engineer declared it a total loss on Thursday due to the wheels being so expensive to replace outright. Having the originals refurbed instead.
Going to be a long job apparently, meanwhile, i'm absolutely loving the e90 lci 318d...
I'm an extremely placid guy and i'm built like a pipe cleaner so I never get 'fighty' but I was getting wound up when he started lying through his teeth about looking both ways and the idea of me 'appearing from nowhere'
Anyway, Ive just got give this to smoke around in until mine is sorted...
Thanks for all the nice words guys. The blokes insurance are admitting liability which is good, and it looks like im going to deal direct with them to save having to pay my excess. They are going to give me a like for like courtesy car and i can choose where the car goes for repair.
Does anyone...
Just been smashed into.
Coming home from work along a 30mph road.
A guy has pulled out of a junction to my left across my lane without looking my way. I tried to swerve into the opposite lane in the hope he would stop after me leaning on the horn in a bright red bmw, but his reactions were...
Completely mental. You know I love it.
Sorry for not giving you more time yesterday I think I had 4 people waiting for me and no staff as usual.
Oh and you need to scare me s**tless in this at some point.
No, whats happened with him?
EDIT Just seen it.
I would put it to him but he didn't turn up for work a week or so ago and hasn't been in since. Think hes gone on to new pastures!
Made a couple of small bits of progress with the car recently.
Biggest job was refitting my cat as the decat was making my new cat-back system unbearably loud.
Whilst I was there I dropped the diff oil and replaced it with some quality Castrol 75w140 which was designed specifically for Z3 rear...
This is going to be awesome as usual.
Makes me miss mine like hell even though its still on the drive.
The Alpina527 manifold/BBTB is a superb upgrade when you do get round to it. Completely changes the last 2/3k of the rev range.
For a really worthwhile and cheap mod, get a z3m shift lever...
